“Hi sweet bean, my day is swell so far, except Ramona is in that stage where she’s like a cat and found out she can just push things off the table and watch them fall to their doom...cue me spending all morning cleaning honey off my abuela’s tiled floor-- harder than you would think. It still feels weird to call myself a mom, kind of like when you graduate high school and the next month it feels weird to say ‘back when I was in high school...’ Do you know what I mean? It hasn’t really sunk in yet even though I have this permanent little clone of me around all the time and I spend most nights with one foot out of bed, waiting for her to call me at 3 AM.
