Should Shamaal be his pendagogue, he would have scowled and slap the feet on the desk with a wooden ruler – a disciplinary system that was always practiced on him as a mentee back up in the northern winters. But he wasn't his teacher. And she wasn't him. So instead he just smiled a bit, head turning to look down at said pair of feet before he tapped them with his pen. There's no need for yelling for she was an intelligent student – capable of understanding with just the slightest gesture. "Feet please, Miss. Rose." He reprimanded softly, not a trace of chagrin or even displeasure in his voice. It was just a friendly reminder, nothing more, nothing less. With the smile still on his face, he put his chin on his hand, resting it there as he engaged in the leisurely conversation with a former student. "Well that's a shame, would have loved to see a familiar face in the classroom." His words were whispered with a tint of yearning. She was one of the faces that stuck and he would have hated to see it go so fast. "What classes are you taking this year then, Miss Rose? Entertaining enough to have replaced me." His low, quiet chuckle filled the air between them as he joked, his eyes crinkling with gaiety.
