out the window - shane/rosette
As she moseyed on down the hallway, Rosette checked the bundle of goodies in her arms, making sure she hadn’t forgotten anything in her room. Popcorn packet...check, chocolates...check, movie...check, correct movie...double check. The arrival at Disland had been a whirlwind, Rosette barely had any time to spend with Morgan. In fact, this was probably the most time away they’d ever spent from each other. While, Rosette didn’t mind all that much, it felt a bit strange not having that constant interaction with her twin. Thankfully, tonight would remedy that unsettling feeling.
Approaching Morgan’s door, Rosette performed the special knock the pair had been using since their earliest ages. Moments passed, and no one came. She couldn’t even hear rustling or a “hold on!” as would be expected from Morgan. Again, Rosette tried the knock, and again, no answer. Maybe she got held up, the blonde thought. Her sister was never one to live her life by strict times and deadlines, life took her where it pleased. Or rather, she grabbed life by its collar and enjoyed the ride. Waiting a few more minutes, Rosette pulled out her phone, texting her missing half. Now, Rosette is probably one of the most patient people out there. After sending the message, she waited for about a half hour before deciding to go about this a different way and made her way down the stairs to accomplish a new plan.
Praying that it wasn’t a cold night, Rosette was relieved when she discovered it was a warm evening, the weather had stayed true to its current summer identity. Counting the windows of the dorm building, Rosette identified what she believed to be Morgan’s room. She laughed to herself, as she had forgotten the room was on the second floor. Scanning the building, the princess realized there was ivy completely covering the base of it, perhaps it would be strong enough for her to climb. Only one way to find out. She stuffed the movie items in her pajama pockets, and slid off her slippers, gripping them with her teeth. It would be much easier to climb barefoot.
Carefully, she grasped her fingers around the ivy, testing its strength, it seemed sturdy enough. Step by step, Rosette advanced up the wall. Fortunately, the journey wasn’t too long, only to the second floor. Once she reached the window, the next move was to figure out how to open it from the outside. Rosette jiggled the bottom of the frame, hoping it would budge. Little did she know, help was soon on the way...
