Sometimes I wonder about my life. I lead a small life - well, valuable, but small - and sometimes I wonder, do I do it because I like it, or because I haven't been brave? So much of what I see reminds me of something I read in a book, when shouldn't it be the other way around? I don't really want an answer. I just want to send this cosmic question out into the void. So good night, dear void.

Plot twist: Morgan is Fiona, Rosette is the Dragon.Ā

2 Become 1 - The Spice Girls
Once upon a time, the Spice Girls were in their heyday, and two little princesses were obsessed. Of course, they had to learn every song and perform them for their chef, maids, and anyone else they had contact with. Since there were only two of them, they had to double up on Spice Girls. Morgan would be Sporty, Scary, and Ginger while Rosette would take on Baby and Posh. Choreography was courtesy of Morgan and Rosette made sure they didnāt stray too far off key.Ā

The Painterās Link - Kate Bush
Inspired by her favorite world leader, Rosette painted the walls of her room in the tower. It was never one big image, little things like flowers and eyes, but each picture, while small, was incredibly detailed. Eventually, they completely covered the walls and when Rosette stepped back to look at them all together, she was shocked to realize it melded together to create an image of the moon.Ā
āGoing anywhere?ā Kamaka thought for a moment, but did not actually remember what heād been doing at all. Just walking.Ā āI do notā¦think so. Surely if it was important then I would remember,ā he shrugged.ā
āSurely! And maybe if you did, youāll remember later! That happens sometimes. Youāll be walking along and all of a sudden, itāll pop back into your mind!ā
Send me [ ā© ] and I'll write a headcanon based on the next song that plays.
Iāll be sure to give you a holler if I can manage to pull it off. Eh, Iāll let them believe what they want. Itās their right as living creatures to do so. But like I said, the best thing to do is to prove them wrong. And that is exactly what Iām going to do once the time comes, but until then, woohoo, right? Canāt argue with you there, are you sure youāre not a royal?Ā āCause you have that aura, if I may say. Rosette. Rosetta. Rosetting. Rose-a-saurus. Iām Noelle.
Youāve got a wonderful attitude about the whole thing. Itās very refreshing. Me? A royal? No, no, no, Iām flattered that you would think that though! Iām just from a little place in the woods. No castle or anything like that. Rose-a-saurus, Iām a big fan of that one! What a beautiful name! Your parents chose well.
Yes, yes this is very much an emergency! I left my favorite pair of heels at home and now I donāt know which ones to wear with my outfit for my future first date with my future husband. rosettephillipson
Iām sure whatever you wear will look fine! He wonāt be looking at your shoes anyways, at least, I hope not. How about wear whichever ones are most comfortable?
out the window - shane/rosette
For school dorm rooms, the accommodations were rather spacious. Sure, Shane had filled his own space with desks and shelves and stacks of books, maps, and journals, and the walls were so filled that everything felt close and comforting; but all heād need to do to regain the feeling of open air would be to open his door and step out into the hall, from the hall to the kitchenette or the small living area. All heād need to do is cautiously approach Morgan for conversationāheād found promises of food worked well, despite who they were and who connected them.Ā
A while ago heād heard something from the front, but had assumed it was Morgan. Heād decided to check, maybe later, maybe when he finished this chapterā¦and then, one more. He might have set onto another, had he not heard a much closer sound.Ā
The exit from his room to the shared area was like stepping outside from inside. There was a larger window, and the walls and floor-space wasnāt so cluttered. From a cursory glance Shane couldnāt see anything that might have caused the deliberate sounding noise; until he did. His glance cast towards the wall with the window, passed again, and then returned almost immediately. There was a face at the window. He could think of hundreds of mysteries and suspenses and thrillers where this exact situation transpired. Before he had time to fully register the head of blonde hair and the mouth that carried slippers, all Shane could think of was how undignified it was to die in oneās pajamas.Ā
Of course, he did register who the face was, once his mind got over the shock of adrenaline. Heād spent so long not knowing the exacts of what Rosette looked like. He knew her voice by heart, but her face was something new to him, a lovely surprise each time he saw it, or remembered it. A lovely surprise even hanging off his window. Shane made to cross the room in three strides, getting there as soon as his mind registered that he should. Was it maybe too long? Was she cold? How on Disney was she at the window?Ā
āIām so sorry,ā He breathed out as soon as he was able to unlock the clasp and lift the window pane. His book was set, almost forgotten in his haste, on the floor by his feet, and he almost slipped over it as he stepped back to let her in. Did she need help? Would she want to get in on her own? He didnāt know. He felt like he should know. He let his hand hang loose by the edge of the window frame, hovering almost, there to help pull her in should she need it. āWhat are you doing here? Itās the second floor! Here, do you need any help?āĀ
Without thinking, Rosette opened her mouth to gasp, forgetting the slippers were clenched between her teeth.Ā āShi-ā Reflexively, she caught the slippers with her chin.Ā āNo need to apologize, Iām the one breaking into your room, after all.ā Rosette had remembered when Morgan told her Shane was her roommate, but for some reason, Rose didnāt think that heād be there, which was a silly idea now that she really thought about it.Ā āThank you,ā grabbing his hand, Rosette pulled herself through the window.Ā āI was...I was supposed to be having movie night with Morgan, but I guess I got here a little too early...ā The slippers dropped onto the floor as she looked up to speak with him, face to face...almost, as he was a good few inches or so taller than her.Ā āThereās some ivy on the brick, figured two stories wouldnāt be that bad of a climb. And it wasnāt! Iām fine, really. I do appreciate your help though. The window was...ā Rosetteās voice trailed offĀ
This was really the first moment she was able to take him in. During their first encounter at Disland, there was so much to focus on, and it went by so quickly. The rest of that afternoon sheād been in a haze, rationalizing with herself that it did, in fact, happen. But now, there was no one or nothing else around, and as far as Rose knew, they had all the time in the world. His eyes seemed kind, not that Rosette didnāt think they would, but it was reassuring. Some things were real. Some things that she imagined had turned out to be real. She wasnāt as crazy as sheād initially thought.
āI didnāt mean to interrupt whatever you were doing...,ā noticing his pajamas, āwere you sleeping? Iām so sorry! You should get back to sleep! Sleep is important. I can always come back later once Morganās gotten back. Thatās not a problem at all. Iām just down on the first floor, not a big commute or anything.ā Walking towards the door, Rosette paused, remembering that her slippers were back on the floor near the window. Sheepishly, she backtracked and slid them onto her feet, feeling slightly more comfortable with the fleece surrounding her toes. While Shane hadnāt made her feel uncomfortable, Rosette felt like it was all so formal. Theyād spent hours discussing life, their dreams, even small things like what time of day was best to take walks during. They were friends, extremely close ones at that. Unconsciously, a small burst of laughter filled her slender frame, shoulders shaking. Collecting herself, Rosette looked back up to Shane, āYouāre not sleeping anytime soon, are you?ā She asked with a knowing smile as she picked up the book that had been resting near her slippers.
