Things to consider in my interface - Being able to search places to eat, ATM's, a search bar that allows you to find friends that are also using the same app, having different views (birds eye view, street view, 360degrees), be able to hide your location from certain people, live video feed of classes, be able to tap into your friends cameras so that you can see the location they are in, show empty car parks, different character voices available, different language settings, input your timetable, so that you can click on certain classes and the app will give you the quickest route to your destination, indoor/outdoor paths for weather permitting, colour codes to identify busy routes or to show more scenic routes.

Final reflection;

For this project, I believe I completed quite a successfully hand crafted composition. In all, it took about 6 hours to make my wire basket/cage, and in the end I feel the time paid off. As wire is a very malleable, shiny (worthy) material, by hand crafting it in the way I did, I feel that I expressed the properties of the material very well. By choosing the gradient of rocks in the centre, it also gave the model a bit more aesthetic and interest. I would’ve like to have make the basket a different shape, as in my original ideas (noted on my storyboard), but throughout the process of making the wire basket, I realised it would be too difficult so had to go with the shape that did end up being made. At the bottom I made the basket invert back in on each other, I feel this gave the composition more depth and interest as well. This project has developed my knowledge significantly, and has helped me look into my projects and work in a new way.

Project two process so far - I have nearly completed my wire basket, although it hasn't turned out the initial shape I was hoping for, I still believe the direction I have gone with works well. I have changed it from a rounded shaped to an elongated circular shape. I am unsure if i will make separate baskets yet. I will stil be using the gradient of stones from dark to grey to white.

I haven't written on here in a while for this class, so here's an update on my progress.

Over the holidays, even though I should have I didn't do much work, I just thought about new ideas that I could do and developments on my ideas. I originally began with tying up all of the little individual stones, and then using a thin piece of wire to thread them all together so that they would become a composition as well as being able to interact with them by moving the rocks away from the centre point. This idea though seemed too obvious or not developed enough.

How to make my navigation creative:

Colour;

Interactive;

Memory - make the GPS remember where the user has searched before, for quicker use.

The new TomTom technology allows you to share new road information with the community, by using mapshare. This style of navigation is effective and aesthetically pleasing, by using the real life outdoor environment with a map included next to it.

I am happy with my final composition of my work, I feel the use of random in fill really benefited my finals as it gave a sense of depth.
