Mumbling “I love you” in your sleep

Hamel prefers to sleep with a modest distance between you, but your soft mumbling prompts her closer. She watches you quietly for a few moments, a gentle smile taking up her features. Then she moves to hover over you. “It seems I’ve enchanted your dreams... I hope I’m not imposing.” Her thumb caresses your bottom lip, before her hand trails down to your heart. “Though you’ve captured me just the same.”
The subtle vibrations from your voice cause Serpent to stir. While half-asleep, she’s still able to gather a semblance of what you’re saying. Sighing out your name, she drawls, “...No... you’re my love...” As more of her thoughts come into focus, she burrows herself further into your neck. “Tell me those things again.. when you wake up...” It’s so so reassuring to hear you unconsciously confess.
She observes you for a long time after you fall asleep, thinking that you must have a death wish for being so careless around her. After so much silence, your sudden mumbles spook her into vigilance. But she struggles to stifle a laugh once she realizes what you’re saying. “Sweet talking me into sparing you? You’re lucky that was funny. Hey, wake up and say that again.” In spite of herself, your words leave her a little electrified.
“.......” Your sleep talk is none of her business. She pretends she doesn’t hear anything. It feels like she’s intruding despite being the one you’re mumbling about—even if you’re sharing a bed. But she gets increasingly flustered the more this goes on. Too shy to wake you, she ends up rolling over to face the wall and bury her face in a pillow.
Anne immediately breaks into her signature warm smile and replies with a beaming “I love you too! ♡” Taking your words as an invitation, she scoots closer to rub a soothing hand over your shoulder, and guides your own arm to drape over her waist. Then a realization dawns on her: “Oh...! Are you still sleeping...?” Without saying anything more, she re-tucks you into your blankets and dozes off beside you 💤
Sumire’s work keeps her out very very late. She rarely gets to spend time with you each night, as much as she misses you. So coming home to hear you mumble about how much you love her? How cruel to say those things to a dream when she is standing right there. Something flickers in her heart, and she hesitates for a moment.
“...Forgive me for being selfish just this once...” she murmurs. She’s never intentionally woken you before, but finds herself crawling on top of you. “Just for tonight...”
It’s definitely a most welcome way to wake up.
