Ludo, an Indian game with a Latin name. If you have not played Ludo, you have very likely played one of its variants - Chausar, Pacheesi, Parcheesi, Parchis, Burjees, Nyout, Pagade, Coppit, Agrravation, Sorry!, Trouble, Uckers and many more, are all variants of this game. Men playing Ludo in Ghana. Ludo is an old board-game taking its origins in India around the 6th century. The old name, still used today, is Pachisi or Pacheesi. Game was played by the Mughal emperors of India. The board is typically colored with bright red, green, yellow and blue. Two to four people may play. Ludo made its way to England around the 19th Century. It is played all over the world, particularly in Africa, where men sit and play to pass time.
