#Rambo Developed by #PackInVideo Published by #Acclaim Released in #1988 Rambo is loosely based on the film Rambo: First Blood Part 2. Colonel Trautman tasks an imprisoned Rambo to rescue POW's still being held in a prison camp in Vietnam after the war has ended. My father absolutely loved #FirstBlood but hated the sequels. He said they ruined the ideals and character of John Rambo, his PTSD and disenfranchised war veterans in general. The game is a far cry from the movie. The game is very similar to #BattleOfOlympus and #Zelda 2 #TheAdventureOfLink and while that's not a bad thing I don't remember Rambo killing snakes, spiders and other forest creatures but you do encounter human enemies after you venture out or the jungle. Once the last POW is freed you face Murdock (the guy who betrayed you) and turn him into a frog by throwing a Kanji character at him, I mean honestly that's fucking crazy. The gameplay is horrible, music is annoyingly repetitive and the level designs are lackluster. #SylvesterStallone movies turned videos games have been questionable at best but this really takes the cake. The worst thing is when you speak to people, Rambo is now a disfigured red-head... WTF!? Most importantly though the game doesn't start until you say yes.
