After escaping the Trade Federation blockade of their home planet Naboo, Queen Amidala, along with her handmaidens and Jedi Knights Qui-Gon Jin and Obi-Wan Kenobi are forced to make an emergency landing on the Outer Rim planet of Themyscira. While there, they meet the young princess Diana, who is found to be very strong with the Force. Intrigued by her power, Qui-Gon contacts the Jedi Council about training Diana as a Jedi Knight.
