Blue Book page 922 #12, please. Can you explain why A is wrong while D is right?
The fear is: “l fear for the seventeen-year-old songwriter looking forward to a career in the music business today.” If he or she is looking forward to a career, what evidence is there that he or she wouldn’t be devoted to it? The fear (and, really, the main idea of the whole passage) is that it’s not going to be easy to make money by writing music anymore.
