you’ve found yourself in…
Achilles (Homer’s The Iliad, The Song of Achilles by Madeleine Miller), Mercutio (Romeo & Juliet by Shakespeare), Katniss Everdeen (The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins).
Your eyes light up when someone says “it might be dangerous.” You don’t know fear. All you know is adrenaline and seeing red and acting on impulse. You remember yourself as a child, those around you running with wide eyes, warning you, begging you, please don’t hurt yourself. But you know if you’re in front of a cliff, you can’t help yourself from jumping. It’s the fire that runs through your veins, it’s your heart that beats with hunger for something more.
the characters in your story
PAGE 39: THE SEDUCER. The definition of it-couple. Although, you’re not really the healthiest relationship out there. You find yourself in a constant war of tug with The Seducer. One day you’re hopelessly in love, the next you’re sure your relationship has run its course. No one understands it, not even yourself. All you know is that everytime you’ll be coming back for more.
PAGE 40: THE PESSIMIST. You have no idea how you two got close but you love them for keeping you out of trouble more than once. They’re the brains and you’re the muscle of this friendship. You know you’d fight dragons for them, even if they don’t believe they exist.
PAGE 94: THE VILLAIN. They’re your family. And blood related or not, you don’t know a stronger bond. You know who The Villain really is underneath all the mystery, you know their vulnerabilities, their secrets, their dreams. They know yours too. And as long as you two stay together, you know life will be a tiny bit easier, brighter, gentler.
