hi! is there anything specific for the indifferent that you would want to see in an app?

well well, i wouldn’t want to get too specific ‘cause i don’t want to interfere with your creative process and your very own interpretation of the skeleton. but with our latest plot drop and “the dangers that might lie ahead”, it’d be very interesting to see the indifferent navigating all of that, so please, please, pretty please, bring them to us ! there’s some memes and thingies about how we see the skeleton on their ask tag, so feel free to check it out and hopefully it helps you see how we feel about the indifferent ! and if there’s anything we can help you with, don’t hesitate to reach out !

ugh i'm in the same situation as that anon, i can't decide between two completely different characters: the ingenue and the indifferent. could you tell me a bit more about them, if it's not much of a bother? thanks!!

not a bother at all!! they are indeed very different. i imagine the ingenue as someone who is soft-spoken and values kindness over everything. in my head, the ingenue sings and forest animals flock to them like they do to snow-white, that’s just the kind of vibe they give off 🥺. they have a very soft aura and perhaps they’re a bit more innocent about life and its hardships than most people.

the indifferent however is someone who is quite literally the opposite of that in almost every way. they are probably not kind simply because they don’t care enough to be. bored at all times, they’re likely to ask “when is this thing gonna end? are we done yet?”over and over again at whatever event they end up at. while i’m sure they have things they care about, overall they just have a disinterested attitude. 

they are both characters with depth that you can do a lot with and could develop beautifully over time. i hope this made your choice a bit easier and if not, i’m always here to answer any more questions you might have!

what are the differences between the pessimist and the indifferent? i see them being very much alike, but i would love to read your interpretation

they do have similarities for sure but personally, i see the indifferent as someone who just can’t be bothered to care about anything and is genuinely disinterested in a lot of things that happen whereas the pessimist is someone who cares but they’re always expecting the worst to happen at all times, maybe because of past experiences or maybe because of how they view the world !

You think none of this has anything to do with you and you want nothing to do with it. And sure, at first, you were wondering what, if anything, was happening but it was a fleeting thought that passed quickly like most do. Now you go about your day as if nothing has changed because you think for you, nothing has. The stories and tales of others might not particularly interest you but unfortunately, your own story is woven in with theirs and that makes you part of the entire book.

PAGE 9: THE DREAM: Initially, you were annoyed by them. Their personality was too whimsical for you, who claims to want nothing to do with anyone here. But eventually their charms were too hard to resist even for the likes of you. It’s a classic case of opposites attract and after putting up such a fight you realize being around them couldn’t hurt that much, could it?

PAGE 18: THE OBSERVER: If you were to be honest, you’d say they’re your only real friend. You’ve always been a bit of a loner, someone who prefers to do things on your own in case everyone lets you down but so far they haven’t and you can’t lie and say you don’t value their friendship.

PAGE 101: THE CONSCIENCE: There’s something you aren’t quite ready to admit brewing between the two of you. You’re friends, reluctantly, but you are and this newfound attraction is not something you care to explore. Never one to act first, you try to keep your distance and let the feelings die down but you're starting to wonder how long that will take.
