Uuggh. I just found out the Amulet World editor for Minecraft has changed to only being available via a paid subscription. I may have to hope I can find a new world editor now. I'd honestly be okay if it was a one time purchase (like Minecraft itself) but I'm extremely picky with paid subscriptions...this has put me in a rather bad mood. :(

Asking for advice!

With the following that I have here, I have been thinking of monetizing some of my content (I'm not planning to lock this tumblr behind a paywall, don't worry - it would be additional content such as longer stories, fulfilling people's prompts etc.). It seems to be hard in the current climate though, with sites such as Patreon and Ko-Fi excluding these type of stories... does anyone have any experience with sites such as DeviantArt, Substack, Bluesky, Fantasy Feeder or anything else? Any insight welcome :)

I just realized something... funky.

I just listened through 1 minute of ads on spotify and I realized that I used to suffer through (I think) 5 minutes of ads when I was a kid & we only had an antenna instead of cable? When did we get so impatient that 60 seconds of ads is too much for a free service?

Apps are getting ridiculous, everything is pushing a subscription model and they are beginning to push “additional paid content” like you have to pay monthly then the app has in app purchases for the content anyways, you have to pay them for the use of the app just to have to pay for its features.

Who is paying $10+ a month for every app on their phone. On the iphone almost every app on the app store now is subscription even many that are very simple basic apps, like pay a subscription for a calculator or resizing photos, etc. who is paying $10+ a month for an extra calculator or something. 🤣 plus people often have hundreds of apps on their phone no one in their right mind is paying $4,000 a month just for their apps. 🤣
