all this Threads nonsense got me thinkin abt the old days and

I looked at my bookmarks bar and noticed something I'd neglected to remove for 4 years

does anyone else remember this old art site? I used to use PaigeeWorld all the time before it got shut down. it was one of the alternatives for a lot of people when deviantArt Eclipse drove its users off. but honestly I cant really remember if PaigeeWorld was a good site or if I just posted there Because™

have there been any archives of the paige rohrick tutorials (paigeedraw)? the apps havent been available on the app store for forever and these tutorials were what seriously got me into traditional art. if anybody has any saved... or knows of a place where theyre still up... please lemme know

Anyone remember the hellhole that was paigeeworld and how toxic as frick the moderators were?

Like it was an art site intended for children and beginners, yet they’d remove photography just for being even the slightest bit blurry and were always extremely inconsistent on what counted as “blurry” or “low quality” and many mods had posted photos that could be considered “low quality”.

They also would remove MMD art unless it was made “from scratch” for literally no reason whatsoever and this rule wasn’t even stated in the rules, and they’d allow art made with bases but not custom models made from parts.

Also they removed a picture of a Minecraft skin I made because it “broke the rules” but again nowhere in the rules did it state that Minecraft SKINS were against the rules or even why it wasn’t. It wasn’t until I asked a mod why it was removed that they said Minecraft skins aren’t allowed, but they didn’t even explain why they weren’t. Minecraft skins are art too... I understand not allowing screenshots, but it was just a pic of the front and back of the skin.
