Anti/Dark/Warf & Witch! S/O Part 4
Hello everybody and welcome back to my Witch! S/O series. Remember how I said in my first post that this series would include Anti, Dark, and Warfy? Well, here’s the fourth installment, starring everyone’s favorite mustached reporter! Don’t worry, though! Anti will have his comeback arc later, and Dark should enter the story within the next 2-to-3 chapters! - Al
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Anti’s been gone for a while now. After storming out of the house in anger, he hasn’t come back. The cold, emptiness of your home has returned. You wish Anti would return long enough for you to apologize for your reaction to his newfound abilities, but you’re starting to think he won’t be coming back. And even if the electronically-talented creature did come back, you silently worry about his mental state. His lack of understanding for the preservation of not only himself but those around him too could be put in danger… Well, you could be in danger.
Plants that were once thriving in your home have started dying. You can hardly leave the couch long enough to care for yourself properly. Is there a point? No one is around anymore, so what’s the point in showering?
The glass shards that stabbed into your feet as you chased after Anti are still embedded in your soles. The bleeding stopped after the first few hours, but you’re too big of a chicken to remove the cause of your pain. So, you’ve been sitting on the couch this entire time thinking about Anti, and how you could have better handled the reveal of his newfound abilities.
There’s no doubt in your mind that the creature will return to your home. However, there is no telling what Anti will do when he returns. The darkness of this realm is overwhelming, and you don’t doubt for a second that when Anti returns he will come back a different person. It’s what kind of person that is that worries you.
You upset him. Who’s to say that the young man won’t want revenge?
The gunshots from the TV strike your idea. You need something to defend yourself with, that’s for sure. The glittering metal of the pistol held in the fictional character’s hand is apparently able to kill anything. But with your ability to create anything, there’s nothing stopping you from creating your own weapon of death.
The added weight on the couch next to you causes you to look at your side. Unlike the gun on television, this weapon was a striking gold with a diamond-encrusted handle. The sight of it twists your stomach uncomfortably.
What were you thinking? You couldn’t kill Anti! He’s... He’s Anti!
You run a hand down your face. No, you can’t kill Anti, but you do need protection from him. Just in case.
What if you... No! No! Creating Anti was a mistake! You hurt him! Creating another creature would likely lead to the same result! Unless... Your eyes peek through your fingers to look at the gaudy pistol. Unless you’re more sure of the creation’s purpose.
The swell of hope in your heart stops you from creating your new friend to solely protect you from Anti. No, whoever he or she will be should be brave enough to protect you from any and all mistakes you unknowingly make. Thinking more, you find yourself more comfortable with the creation being a man. As tempting as it would be to have a woman kick Anti’s ass, you know that physically men are stronger.
The man must be fit enough that his strength will be possible to increase to face a challenge. On the other hand, his personality must be able to get along with your own as well as Anti’s. You don’t want Anti to die, but if push comes to shove then there’ll be no choice but to get rid of him. So your new friend must be funny, and nice enough, but also not willing to take shit from anyone.
But how will he know who is a friend and who is a foe? You rub your chin in thought. Maybe... He’s an investigator of some sort? But he’s funny, so an investigative journalist? A Reporter? The idea brings a smile to your face.
Yes. That could work.
Not wanting another Anti incident, you think of everything this new creation should be and not be. He should be joyful, he shouldn’t be easily angered, he should be intelligent, he shouldn’t be annoyingly so. The process takes much longer than when you created Anti, though you suppose it could also be because of your interest in how far you can actually control a creation while still maintaining the friend’s free will.
Your idea of time becomes more warped as the process continues. Growing unexplainably tired, you decide to wrap up the creation with the inclusion of something fun. Anti hated brighter colors, so why not make this friend outwardly seek them out?
Every time you previously created a new addition to your home, you never felt this tired. Is the reason you’re so exhausted now because of how much effort you’re putting into this person? Whatever the case, you finish your own version of a character creator only to fall asleep on the couch as the opening and closing of cabinets sounds from the kitchen.
