Some snippets of my December pages in my journal. Really happy with how the first and last pages in December turned out. Working on my hand lettering and script in this month a lot. Slowly getting better but it’s difficult with the amount I shake. I posted some more of my journal pages over here ~ check it out
Currently working through a diagnosis for an auto-immune. Doctor asked to keep a pain log. Might as well make it pretty!
First time in a long time that I did a full month in my journal. There’s things I’m happy with and things I’m not but I finished it. Really like the colours I used for May. I wanted to use spring time colours, so I picked different shades of pink, green and blue. This is just the first few pages from May 2019. I have a some other pages photographed, I just need to get around to editing them. Slowly working on getting June’s pages done. My boyfriend and I have begun a more strict budget so I designed pages to track that better.
Some of my favourite pages from January. Plus February’s overview page. I want to try to include more doodles in my pages.

I saw something very similar to this layout in a Pinterest post that was originally to track moods. I decided to modify it to better track my chronic pain. I'm also pretty forgetful when it comes to remembering which shades I've originally picked so I decided to label my pencils according to my key.
Why This Project is Important to Me:
With chronic pain it’s pretty easy to feel like days are just passing you by in a blur. It’s also extremely easy for my to turn off my pain detection switch, where sometimes it doesn’t matter how loud my body is screaming at me, I just drown it out. I continually sweep things under the rug and let things get to extremes and often times it feels like I can’t think of how it got that bad until I look back and analyze it. Sometimes I’m never able to figure it out.
I’m trying to get into the habit of listening to my body more, and being more in tune with my condition. So while this process may be useful for my doctors visits, it’s way more beneficial for me in the long run. It may also help detect patterns in the long run as well.
