Ateez as the types of film majors in my class
Seonghwa: He was born to stand out and boy does he ever stand out. The type to have really thoughtful, really artistic films. He knows a few people in the senior batches but rarely ever asks for their help or input because he just knows. He knows. Also the type to join international film workshops ( Spain, Japan, you name it).
Hongjoong: Has a lot of friends in the senior batches - the same reason why his “field PR” credits are always full so early on because he helps them out in their works, breezes through thesis pitches because he’s thought of everything + he knows what makes the professor tick.
Yunho: Expert cinematographer. Really. You’d want to have him as your DOP in video projects because he’s just that damned good with the shots. He’s often in his little circle of friends (also within the film block) too and even if he’s super nice and friendly, the fact that he’s so good at what he does makes him a tad intimidating.
Yeosang: Do not be fooled by this guy. He’s the one that surprises everyone with how good he is at making films/videos because he never really mentions it. One of the few that actually submits their work in film festivals and gets in.
San: He’s the ever-so-reliable guy you can count on having as part of your (or whoever’s) production team in video projects. He’s great at the technical stuff but sometimes needs help in his scripts. He’s also juggling his majors with his extra-curriculars as the taekwondo guy. He’s got more friends outside film than he does within the block/class, and they’re usually his teammates in taekwondo.
Mingi: He’s quiet but even the popular classmates like him. He’ll likely opt to go musical for his thesis film - which will take him one whole semester to plan and that’s why his graduation is delayed a semester because he wants it to be perfect. But he’s always ready to lend a hand to people - he might even compose the opening title song/score for your film if you ask.
Wooyoung: Loud and obnoxious but they’re always willing to help out. They’re either plugged in their editing software (most likely after effects because y’know, they love to show off their cgi skillz), show off a filming technique / storyline plot they picked up after watching an indie-ish movie like 500 Days of Summer.
Jongho: He’s always dressed expensively you wonder if he’s really a film major or a confused (insert corporate/management-related) major, but he is just based on the works he puts out. He’s got so many friends outside his course, you’d see him hopping from one table to another in the cafeteria. His projects are also high-budget and are pretty good too. Expect him to have his driver drop you off at your house when everything’s done.
