A loose Ted Lasso-AU. It's seventh year and a new adventure awaits for Norah Lee and the gang as Hogwarts hosts the first Inter-School Quidditch Cup in centuries. With cutthroat competition between the eight schools, that also means wild parties, love triangles, breakups, and teenagers dealing with the changing times. Eleazar Fig is also tasked with being the Hogwarts team's manager. The thing is, Hogwarts has never won a single inter-school quidditch cup.

T/W: Drinking, canon-typical violence, a little kissing and implied sexual content. IMPLIED only.

A/N: Like I said, it's a loose Ted Lasso AU. Characters are aged up a little as usual to keep things appropriate and the time period is leaning towards the modern day so there will be anachronisms.

LOVE Norah’s design!! I’m curious, what would their battle quotes be in a duel / against enemies? Things like victory, low HP victory, low HP, light hit taken, heavy hit taken, using a potion, stunned, Protego shield being broken, defeat, stuff like that?

I don't think I've ever thought about that before, but I guess for now, she would have this very cold look in her eyes before non-verbally casting a spell, even more so when she's tapping into her AM. It would also depend on whether she's got her friends with her in that said duel, because then she'd be randomly telling them to "look out!" or "hex!!" when she sees an Ashwinder try to aim at one or all of them lol

Her "quotes" would overall be so random lol

"I could never get used to that" / "I hate it when this happens" / "I nearly forgot this has a certain taste" / "whoohah" lmao it's up to you to figure out which quotes refer to which instance but she's just so random.

(I wanted to try making a drawing entirely with markers, without using anything else. It’s hard, because there’s no room for mistakes, and there are some. 😭So I’ll probably redo it in graphite pencil, which I’m more comfortable with.)

Hot take but praise is a good tool for encouraging healthy behavior. Positive reinforcement is good. Relying exclusively on punishment to change people's behavior is both cruel and ineffective. If someone does better than they did yesterday, let them know you appreciate it, let them know that they're improving!

"Don't praise anyone for doing the bare minimum" is a shitty take that prioritizes your sense of superiority over the actual betterment of people. I understand that things shouldn't be as bad as they are, and anger can often be justified, but you need to get over the propaganda that kindness is naïve, that cynicism and bitterness are intellectual. Withholding praise from those who haven't caught up with you doesnt actually help them, it doesn't motivate, it doesn't encourage, it only discourages them. It breeds bitterness and apathy, which are antithetical to empathy.

Growth isn't something you do on your own. People need support, they need community. Bootstraps won't get them there. Kindness will. Do you want results or do you just want to feel superior?

This isn't up for debate. We have the studies. Positive reinforcement is far & away the most successful method to not only change behavior but KEEP it changed long term. One of the most important things I learned for my psych degree.

Do not forget that discord is still planning on moving forward with age verification and has only "delayed it" until "the later half of 2026." They are hoping you will forget while they quietly roll it out when no one is looking. Continue to message them about it. Continue to talk about it. Make it clear this is unacceptable. Discord is one of the only places left you can even talk about or share adult content in private at scale anymore. They will tell you "its not that bad if you dont use it for nsfw" but fuck them and fuck people who say that shit.

Hulloo, it's been a while since I've posted anything but since I've been noticing a number of people joining the fandom increasing, I thought I'd post a couple of links to my older posts!!

A bit about me: I am the local lore-digger/master of arts (courtesy of @storkteller), if I dare to so myself, because I've not only found references to many of imagery seen and found in HL, but also found sources of said imagery.
