Steve didn’t know what had come over him since he started dating Eddie.
Ever since he’d let his walls down and let in the other bisexual teen in about the whole town after the heat died down and wounds healed as best they could without a registered psychologist in Hawkins, he’d noticed a complete 180 in the way he looked at the latter.
Before, when he had been a prick let’s not lie, he’d never liked Eddie’s style. It was too loud, all brash and tacky for that version of him and the people he called his friends…but now, it was the best thing about him.
In fact, Eddie could make anything look good. Whether it was making a scene at one of Corroded's gigs or just lounging back at Steve’s house or the too-small trailer that he loved so much, Eddie just looked…edible, for lack of a better word.
He didn’t know exactly what started it, this obsession with his boyfriend. Could it have been Eddie’s lace up high heeled boots that strut across the Hawkins Hall stage?
Could it have been the numerous faded band t-shirts he slept in and came out to have coffee in the mornings with his hair all messed up in the bun it used to be in the night before?
Maybe it was the way he barely filled out Steve’s hoodies and jackets, the fabric clinging onto him like a scarecrow and yet, it just made Steve want to undress him all the same.
He even looked good with nothing on, scars and all. Most people’s necks would break, but Steve’s wouldn’t.
Eddie seemed to know it as well, for every time he caught Steve’s eye, there was a smirk or a stretch showing skin or a flutter of the eyes. He didn’t know Gucci or Louis Vitton or anything, just had to breathe. It was infuriating…and amazing.
It also made him do something he hadn’t done in a long time since Nancy.
He made him look.
