I was commissioned to paint two drums, one for a lovely lady and one for their granddaughter! My client picked two of my existing designs and requested I incorporate the belt. I'm so pleased with how these turned out, it's so intimidating to paint someone else's drums. I would love to paint more, if that is something you're interested in please send an email my way!
Life will break you. Nobody can protect you from that, and living alone won’t either, for solitude will also break you with its yearning. You have to love. You have to feel. It is the reason you are here on earth. You are here to risk your heart. You are here to be swallowed up. And when it happens that you are broken, or betrayed, or left, or hurt, or death brushes near, let yourself sit by an apple tree and listen to the apples falling all around you in heaps, wasting their sweetness. Tell yourself you tasted as many as you could.

...which causes me to wonder, my own purpose on so many days as humble as the spider's, what is beautiful that I make? What is elegant? What feeds the world?

Too long?

I want to get this tattooed on my ribs. ouch, haha. Also, I might cut out the first sentence.

Other tattoos I'm going to get on my 18th birthday (9months away) include, more birds on my back to match the ones my friend gave me; "here comes the sun" on my bicep beside the sun tattoo i gave myself, to cover the 7 dots I gave myself while drunk; and I also want to go over the tattoo I gave myself on my foot, which says lust. So there ya go:)
