It’s 2 in the afternoon. Monkey D. Garp is guarding the cells currently holding pirates that the captain of the base had captured.

Monkey D. Garp is guarding said cells while also holding a toddler.

The captain saw this, sighed and rubbed his eyes just to make sure he was actually seeing this right before sighing yet again. “Garp.” He called out in the most exasperated tone any marine had ever heard.

With a grin that can only be described as annoyingly bright and wide, the ensign greets the captain like there isn't anything wrong with letting his child go anywhere near those criminals. Well, knowing Garp he'd consider himself more than capable enough to protect his own child.

For a moment the captain considers requesting Garp to be given paternity leave or just moving him to a different base altogether. At the same time it can't be denied that the man is a fucking beast in battle. There are few that manage to climb the ranks this quickly.

"Where is Bogard?", the captain decides to ask instead as he lets out a sigh. They have been doing that more and more often since Garp started showing up with that toddler in tow.

"Think he was assigned to do armoury. Why?"

Because the captain would rather hang up their coat than leave Garp to guard the cells alone while also taking care of a child.

"I'll send him down to help you"

"Help me? Help me with what?"

The child in your arms, the captain doesn't say.
