The Things We Believe In
It was our own fault that we couldn’t stand our ground The eternal winter is near A million lives just wiped away without a sound Leaving a dead world in fear
No need to run, we’re just waiting for someone No eyes to see what we have become
We should die for the things we believe in But live our lives in the dark, self-deceiving In the snow, all the world that we knew is ice And so we are: cold, dead and gone Shine a light till the dark sky is burning Wolves are hownling and fortune is turning But our hearts and the words that we say are ice And so we are cold, dead and gone
Betrayed by greed and pride we stumbled through the dark Confusing blind men with kings How can we ignite the flame while missing the true spark Or have we reached the end of things?
No need to run, we’re just waiting for someone No eyes to see what we have become
We should die for the things we believe in But live our lives in the dark, self-deceiving In the snow, all the world that we knew is ice And so we are: cold, dead and gone Shine a light till the dark sky is burning Wolves are hownling and fortune is turning But our hearts and the words that we say are ice And so we are: cold, dead and gone

Strapped in leather fingers carefully loosened the thin cord keeping the small pouch attached to his belt. Using the gauntlet held right underneath to catch it the flask hidden inside dropped right onto the lanky Legionnaire’s palm with a silent thud.
Slowly the Watcher extend his left arm afterwards, offered to the other man what he had carried the long way from Farron over into the Painted World: bringing back to him what his older brother had previously taken.
“ Mother sends her regards. “
painterariamis replied to your post: “You know what I really wish I had? Some paint.”
-Someone said painting?!-
"What? Yes? Who... who are you, exactly?"
A little comic based on a video @painterariamis sent me. Gabi must grab tiny Adriaen’s face-
For Mani 3♥️ - How would your muse react to a confession of love? For Reina J♣️ - Who does your muse trust the most? And For Gabi 3♦️ - How does your muse handle indecision?
For Mani 3♥️ - How would your muse react to a confession of love?
It depends who’s confessing to her. If it was someone she barely knew, she would most likely turn it down a bit awkwardly. Though she would still be willing to be friends with whoever confessed! If it was someone she has negative opinions about, she’d either turn it down using a sarcastic tone or punch them in the crotch depending on the severity of their past crimes. However, if it was someone like Gabikalas, a good friend who has gotten to know and understand her (and genuinely enjoys having her around), Mani’s face would turn a bright shade of red before jumping up onto him and giving him one of the tightest hugs possible, while also letting out muffled screams of joy into his chest.
For Reina J♣️ - Who does your muse trust the most?
Before she left the Legion, it was (in order) Mani, Gabikalas, Torolf, and Vilsevind (gonna add the bois because I loved them so much :3). She trusted them all greatly. However, after she deserted, she could trust nobody. Although, after some time, she grew a very strong bond with another Watcher she met later on in her journey named Vincent, who she later married.(Torolf- @thorswolf, Vilsevind- @vilsevind, Vincent- @the-exiled-watchxr)
And For Gabi 3♦️ - How does your muse handle indecision? Again, it depends on the choice he has to make. But most likely, he would come to some sort of compromise that he thinks would benefit him/the Legion (or whoever he’s currently with). But if it comes to something very serious, such as saving the life of someone he cares about or his own, he’d sacrifice his own life to protect those he loves in a heartbeat, even if ordered to leave them behind. But with a corrupted Gabikalas, he becomes very impulsive. The first solution that comes to his mind is usually the way he’ll handle indecision. For example, bite a threat’s face off.
“Take me with you to the other side and together we will learn to cry. Take me to another mystic land. I wanna stay alive.
Without you my mind won’t be able to fly. In this world we are supposed to die. In my dreams I am the last in line.
I want to have you by my side.”
A birthday gift for the lovely @painterariamis!
@painterariamis Continued from here:
They were very close to the gray and feathered creatures. Adriaen wielded his sword and tightened the handle of it tightly between his fingers, was in position but did not advance; He felt like his whole body was tense but he could not continue, he was spending too much time and could be sighted by the creatures at any moment. When again the whole edifice began to tremble accompanied by the thunderous roar of before and in response to this, the Corvian began to scream in unison; that alerted the guardian who opened his eyes and gasped.
-Shut them up! Shut them before more arrive!- He said with the desperation painting his deep voice. It might have been a coincidence, but the whole situation had caused the guardian to react at last and attack one of the creatures with several cuts with graceful movements; Much of the guardian’s attacks came from below to counter their clearly disadvantageous size. Almost immediately he throws one of the small knives hidden into the throat of another Corvian to stop the growth of their wings.
All this was evidence that the low man was well trained and demonstrated how he had survived but it was equally evident how his insecurities and doubts took the best of him.
And even after all, a couple more monstrosities came up behind them.
In the blink of an eye, energy pulsed through the Watcher’s legs, and he propelled himself forward, running head on towards one of the Corvians. The piercing screams did not deter him. No, instead, they only fueled his sudden need for action. As the creature was only a couple feet away from him, Gabikalas pounced, extended the hand that was holding his dagger, drove the smaller weapon into the floor, and swung his darkened Greatsword in a mighty arc. With ease, the blade sliced through the its bony and withered body. Blood splattered onto the ground, and sprinkled onto the side of the taller man’s face, which made him grimace underneath his mask.
To make sure the job was done, after his first move, the Watcher spun around for a second time, hoisting his blade upwards to strike the Corvian from below. Steel parted muscle, flesh, and bone as the monster’s torso was ripped open. From its back, the bumps burst forth its messy and ragged black wings, but the Corvian did not retaliate. It fell with a hollow thump at Gabikalas’s feet. Its face locked in an empty, eternal scream.
He then quickly looked at Adriaen, checking to see if his companion was okay. A smile formed on his lips as he watched the Guardian’s lethal and dance-like movements. Impressive. Though his admiration was very brief, for when more monstrosities came to the aid of their fallen, Gabikalas stomped his foot down and angled his sword downward as he gripped it with both of his hands. Taking aim, the Watcher let his feet shuffle swiftly across the ground, and then he brought up the massive blade for a thrusting attack.
In reaction to their attacker’s incoming movements, the new Corvians leaped to the either side of him. Two lunged for him, while one more went for the Painting Guardian. ‘No!’ Gabikalas tried to turn around and aid his friend, but he ended up taking hits to the shoulders and stomach as claws dug into the fabric of his cloak and the leather and chainmail armor beneath.
