Saint Nikki 2017…I did this painting as a commission for a friend who saw the painting in the second slide which was commentary on Christmas shopping and he asked me if I could do it with Scarlett Johansson’s face. Le cactus, Rosemary Chatin

Some of old photos celebrating the 100th anniversary of a school inspired me for a series of paintings. The girls posed very seriously. The palm trees and cactus are personal additions: I grew up in the sun! The blue background is in acrylic, the rest is oil painting. The canvas is on a frame and ready to hang if shipped in a crane. But it can easily be rolled and sent in a tube, if you prefer to have it put on a frame at reception.
