I finallly finished painting the frogs!!

This was a very fun exercise in both observation and color mixing! I'm very very pleased with the end result!

All of these were drawn from random photographs I found on the web. I've made speedpaints of a few of 'em and will get those edited and uploaded in the next few days. All had different lighting conditions, so their colors appeared differently in each.

I really hope you like these as much as you liked the crows!!

i started off this piece on mspaint, but i realized how awwwwful win11 mspaint is WHY DO YOU HAVE ALIASING AND GENERATIVE ERASER ITS SO FUGLY so i moved to paintool sai, fixing the blurred lineart and draw the rest of it. thought it'll be funny to make stupidly complicated hatching as i carefully add pixel by pixel making sure there's little to no white gaps and spilling.

here's the palette i use as i carefully colorpick the album art

getting the right shade of green and blue is difficult because... well... look at this

its all shades of gray and red but those sparkly bits helped me get said green and blue, but even then its difficult to find the just right shade, and getting yellow is nigh impossible and i only got odd shade of orange.

For your acrylic texture, is it a default texture in Paint Tool Sai? When I looked at my brush textures, I only have 3, none of them being the acrylic one.

I got you! Here's a link for the free acrylic texture. Add it to your PainToolSAI brushtex/papertex folder and you should be ready to go! These are my brush settings too if you're curious:
