it’s my first time binding tabs like this and i’m not gonna lie, it’s super hard. tried a couple of different methods before landing on this one, which is sewing a machine line as a guide, then hand tacking the binding on, and then machining the outside, then i will hand sew the binding to the inside. it is looooong. i’m pretty sure it’s not the best way but it’s what i’m having to do to get the effect i want. i’ve been challenging myself to use the machine as much as possible on these stays to try and speed up the process, we’ll see if it makes any difference. #stays #pairofstays #bindingstays #18thcenturystays #18thcentury #18thcenturyfashion #corset #corsetiere #costumier #linen #dyedlinen #grosgrain #grosgrainribbon #orange #blue #sewing #handsewing
