Palets are on the menu for today. I went with St Michel palets for these. These seem like the kind of cookies you'd have tea with, and I'm not a tea drinker so I had them with hot chocolate.

These are crunchy and a bit dry with a toasted butter flavor. They're well suited to dunking, and it does improve the flavor, but overall these don't really appeal to me.

Unfortunately, besides the original (fairly sparse) grant, I don’t have much information on these arms at all. I would speculate that the dexter half and/or the base are possibly canting elements, given that “canal” has the same meaning in English and Spanish, and there does seem to be at least one stream in the area.
