WiP - Face up & Neck mod for Janet

So you remember Janet, the doll I waited 3 years for? I know I declared her finished as I don't really want to deal with her. Guess what? I still don't want to deal with her.

But I want to get painting her off my mental list, also the neck joint is so horrible not even sueding helps much.

It keeps on sliding around.. i decided to perma mod it with apoxy. As this is just a horrible joint to deal with and with all the hassle the doll came with already I want at least not be annoyed and hating on her when i get her out to pose.

Then she needed some kind of paint. I don't paint all of my Pumpkin heads but some get at least some kind of blush.

But yeah she got blushed and some linework to make her less static looking.

Camera refuses to show the details and the sealant ate the blushing :') well, she's painted I guess.

I will put her away till autumn and hope I will be able to deal with her then.

In which events happen that make you think of autumn despite the fact it's spring. Janet is overall a doll that wasn't meant to happen but then did. Fitting I guess.

WiP - Janet

Upfront: I waited 3 years for this doll and I am not over that as I worked on her. And it showed in the process. I didn't pour as much love into this as I usually would do, I am not motivated to have her painted and I lack any happiness towards this doll. I just wanted her out of my sight as I stored my wips on my desk.

Anyways. I kinda made pattern for the top part of the dress. But it didn't work. Made another attempt, didn't work. Third attempt. Still a failure. And the third was just me being fed up and short before tossing everything in the trash.

I don't like the dress and the petticoat is more or less a labour of me being too stubborn to having to work on this doll later on. The times of me having to open seams/trying again is too damn high as somehow nothing that was intended for this doll was cooperating.

Congrats it's somewhat of a dress, that I wanted to close in the back with buttons but as her hips aren't cooperating and I need to remove her head anyways I decided against adding buttons.

And just sewed her into the dress.

Done by 24/01/26

At least she's off the desk.

She's banned into the shelf until I feel like she deserves more love.

Boxopening - LenaRuiiz Pallu (Janet)

Almost 3 years since I ordered her (8th January 23) my Mom freed her from the customs. And it was not a hassle it was a monumental BATTLE. I won't go into depth here as i am just so done with stuff right now. She's home and she's low priority for now as I just want to get over the fact that I don't have to wait for her anymore.

Box is sadly very damaged, Mom had to open it and didn't notice you needed to pull the ribbon.

Here she is. She won't use the elf head as I got her for the pumpkin.

For the records. I am very glad my doll wishlist is terrible empty and I hope every other parcel with dodge the customs (at least the local ones) because this was a not fun ride and I am not keen for another round of it.
