I mean, to be fair, with the exception of the MUTO’s every Titan name is pretty much the name of their species because, unless in the future film(s) they introduce more individual of each of the Titans species, they ARE the species. Rodan isn’t just a single Titanus Rodan, he simply is Rodan. I mean, if I was named Dave, and I was the last human on Earth, and some alien asked me what I was, I’d say “Im a human, Dave,” they’d probably call me “Homo Sapien Dave” lol

Yeah I mean, obviously you don’t need to use names to differentiate from different members of the same species if there is only one member of the species.

(It’s why, in my fics, I give most of the kaiju personal names that are separate from their species names—because most of the kaiju are aware that there have been others of their own species to differentiate themselves from—but Mothra is still only “Mothra” because there’s only ever been one Mothra, just reincarnated. She is her species.)

I only point out that most of the titans are referred to by species name like it’s a personal name in order to point out that, if MUTOs only get a species name, they’re not being shortchanged compared to other titans: it means they’re being treated exactly the same as all the other titans. It’d be weird for Monarch to give each MUTO an individual name separate from their species name if they don’t also give, say, Rodan a separate personal name from his species name.

AHHHHHH guys i cannot stress ENOUGH how much i love this piece. This was a commission done by @veari , someone who continues to show me how AMAZING she is, not only as an artist but as a person as well. The image itself is of my Worgen druid Seleina and my Night Elf mage Yleria, two characters that, while not my oldest characters irl, are the OC pairing that are the oldest in my HC. and HOLY SHIT did Veari knock this one out of the park. I never even ASKED for those beautiful flowers, she did that herself, but just that little detail honestly makes the drawing 1000X better!! The image itself was just supposed to be them posing for their wedding painting, and it is just so good!

This is perhaps one of my favorite commissions she’s done, it’s so amazing. If any of you are ever on the lookout for an amazing artist who is not only dedicated but hugely creative, look no further (that is when she opens her comms XD)

Seriously, i know i gushed over my last commission but by God i am LIVING for this art, thank you so much Vi, you’re amazing! :D
