Listening to: Ring - CFCF

I went over to Josh’s today, and we ate fine cheeses and talked about our lives. We talked about how he is moving to San Francisco in the spring, and about how habits make or break who you are.

I think I've given meaning to my life in a way that most people expect they will find, like some kind of hidden treasure. I think some people go out in the world searching, to find happiness and meaning, when it's more likely to be created, not found.

I told Josh I feel like I've figured out the meaning of my life, and that by choosing the meaning I've settled that unknowing, uneasy feeling you might get when you think about the reason you exist at all, and what to do with it.

I told him I don't like talking to people about it because it comes off as arrogant -- maybe I'm just fooling myself with cheap confidence. I don't think the whole thing needs to be complicated, my life seems to be about creating things, and that's enough for me right now.
