They're her special interest.

Detox Doodles of Pangolins! One my absolute favorite animals!

"Little pine cone, why are you drinking?"
"To forget."
[Image ID: Pangolin, a cone-shaped creature all covered with pine-like scales, is dipping its long pink tongue into a body of water. The Pangolin's little face shows no emotion. "Little pine cone, why are you drinking?" says the caption on the picture in Ukrainian. "To forget," answers the Pangolin. /End ID]
Love that we continue to see Emily's special interest of pangolins past episode 2 and honestly it makes sense that Husk doesn't know what she's talking about since he didn't know what a blobfish was either as well as Emily likely didn't say "Pangolins" was going to be a code-word for "Vees." XD XD XD
In all fairness, I think pangolins are cute too, so I don't blame Emily for being obsessed with them. ^_^<3<3<3
