Why is this gif not going around?
Imagine Loki using his magic to ensure fair distribution of goods and punish hoarders/panic buyers who leave nothing for others
(Inspired by my grocery run this afternoon…)
It’s depressing that I could barely go out anyway when things relaxed a bit, it’s like nothing has changed on that from. The harsh effects we are already experiencing are going straight up though now because of panic buyers.
I absolutely need at least paracetamol and ibuprofen every single day due to my chronic pain, and I do not get them on prescription (apparently you can’t?) and of course, the shelves are getting emptied. If I don’t, my other pain meds aren’t strong enough to keep me going through the day and leave me incapable of getting out of bed, even walking at all. You don’t neeed several back up packs for just in case you get 1 headache at some point this month. If it’s for cramps, you only need them once a month, around a weeks worth, and that can be bought gradually.
I’m expecting the babies nappies to vanish as well as that’s currently been happening in various places. DON’T bulk buy them. Buy one for emergencies, and maybe another but on ANOTHER day. Order them online instead and keep the shop bought ones for in between orders. Babies don’t go through them so fast you need 5 packs in one day and thousands of people have babies who might run out, and absolutely have to get an emergency pack. A baby needs their nappy. Think.
We are also vegetarian, and bits and pieces are beginning to go out of stock. Sure, we can buy loose veg and make something from scratch or we’d just have to “suck it up and eat meat if there’s no vegetarian options” but that would be like us saying yeah well, make a meat feast pizza from scratch if there’s no pizzas. Buy each individual chunk of meat, and cook all of them, and make the base from scratch. Now do that for a week until the meat pizzas are back. Also, don’t dismiss someone being a vegetarian I guess, and care little about them “dealing with eating meat”, because even aside from that being shitty, people who have been raised on or have been a long term vegetarian diet can get sick when putting meat in their system suddenly. Aren’t we all about NOT getting sick right now?
Times are absolutely rough for all of us right now. But please, don’t make it rougher than it needs to be. Supermarkets are staying open.
There is mercy in the universe.
My sister has some extra rolls of toilet paper and she’s going to bring them to us so we have some. That will give us some so we aren’t wiping ourselves with paper towels and newspapers.
God provides.
Feeling pretty frustrated right now. I just found out yesterday I have to go to my grandma's house on Tuesday to help with some medical stuff for my mom. And since my grandmother is 83 years old I wanted to grab some Lysol wipes and hand sanitizer so I don't have the possibility of getting her sick. I'm not sick right now but who knows what I could pick up between now and when I leave her house on Wednesday. And the store we went to last night was all out. I'm hoping for better luck at Costco because everywhere I looked online was sold out but I doubt it.
My grandmother can't help with my mom's medical stuff and I really don't want to be responsible for killing my grandmother. But I'm so glad that Joe Smoe down the street has a stockpile of hand sanitizer.
Hey coronavirus panic buyers, I legit need toilet paper, so if you all can just stop hoarding it all, that would be great, thx.
Panic buyers piss me off. I can barely shop for groceries for the week Bc we obviously didn’t panic buy & aren’t going to panic buy. I can’t find meat, or pasta or even fucking rice & beans. I can’t find toilet paper which is bullshit. My dad who works construction needs cases of water bottles & face masks but of course all of that is out of stock. Y’all really lack common sense over this bullshit.
