do u have a list of some good media with robot/ai characters in prominent leads... thats not good ol murderbot. im interested in marathon but have no idea how to access it

I have this big list of recommendations here. Basically all of the media on here are about robots/ai at their core, with significantly less focus on the humans present, so I think it would fit the bill. but if theres nothing on here that catches your interest, I could probably think of a bunch more that are more mainstream than this list, because, admittedly, its a list dedicated to rather unpopular things.

As for how to access Marathon, the game trilogy is entirely free through AlephOne. You can download them all here, and the story page is right here, which is good for rereading, or checking for stuff you missed. I'd also highly recommend reading the manuals archived there before you start the respective games. They used to put relevant story things in those!

what mediums did u use for those sketchbook pages (the laois ones)?? and furthermore. what sketchbook...

It's a moleskin, and I used markers (promarkers, but they are named something different these days? But its promarkers) and colored pencils for lines. The first, failed version I tried markers and pastel crayons, hoping to bring in some texture, but I don't think my color options for the two mediums matched very well....

asfhkasjhf YEAH. Cosmos and Soundwave’s dynamic is just *chef’s kiss* I could go on about them for hours. Also, another thing I think is worth noting is the conversation that happens before the “Say my name. I will hear you.” which is basically Soundwave asking if the Autobots treat Cosmos well, to which Cosmos Does Not Answer, and Soundwave IMMEDIATELY offers him a place to stay on Sanctuary Station. Not even to join the Decepticons, he just offers Cosmos a place to stay that’s free from the war and away from the Autobots. When Cosmos hesitates at that offer, Soundwave immediately follows up with telling Cosmos he doesn’t have to decide now, and then says The Line.

Soundwave literally, within minutes of meeting Cosmos, learns that the Autobots maybe aren’t treating him well and immediately goes ‘Hey, no pressure to answer me now but, you could stay with us where you can be free from the war entirely and your shitty coworkers.”

(Also I’ve touched on this before but Cosmos saying “it’s not like that” in reference to Soundwave saying he serves OP echoes SO MUCH in my brain back to Soundwave saying way back when that he didn’t serve Ratbat and how he and the cassettes weren’t treated as equals back then either.)

ive been rereading your comics again recently, and catching up on your shorts/etc and i came across the one where sugar is discussing lola to her therapist and the line "is it unhealthy if it makes us both happy?" + "yes" has stuck with me for so long... idk! i have nothing else to add, just that your work still resonates
