“You and I both know I’ve got you wrapped around my little finger,” Pansy said.  She glanced up at Hermione in the mirror.  The other woman had her arms crossed and was sitting on the edge of their bed.  The kitten she had sighed over in the shop then declared there was absolutely no way they could get was batting at the edge of her sleeve.  It leapt at a speck in the air, then careened into Hermione’s lap.  Her mouth face softened into a look of absolute longing before she put her determined mouth back on.  

“Kittens are so much work,” she said.

“But I want her,” Pansy said in her best spoiled brat tone.  “And so you’re going to let me have her.”

“Because I’m wrapped around your finger,” said Hermione.  

“Exactly.”
