Finding out someone I have known since she was a toddler, who I have done countless shows with over the years (Aladdin, Carousel, Kiss Me Kate, Anything Goes), before she went off to London to stage school and follow her dreams of a career as a professional actor and musician, has just been cast as the lead in the professional panto at my local theatre this Christmas has made my day.

I’m so proud of her. And I can’t wait to book my tickets.
