Campaigns We Love: Clean your plate with IHOP for a chance to win
IHOP is back in our Campaigns We Love, this time with a clean-your-plate contest going through Valentine’s Day. Per their Instagram:
“Want to win some IHOP swag? Enter our Empty Plate Stack Challenge! Grab a group to enjoy All You Can Eat Pancakes. Then snap a pic of your team with your empty plates, upload to Insta and tag it #Panuary. Don’t forget to add a team name and the number of pancakes. Learn more at IHOP.com.”
The only thing that could make this contest sweeter would be making it multli-channel, to increase participation, drive up the competition and therefore increase creativity. Mobile Marketer agrees:
“To drum up even more attention for the promotion, IHOP would be well-advised to include a Twitter component. If it required participants to retweet a branded photo to receive entry into the contest, its audience outreach would undoubtedly widen.”
Great advice for getting the most out of a social campaign— though we would throw in Facebook and maybe Tumblr too. In the meantime, would-be-participants have until Sunday to clean their plates.
