Work’s being a fuck with me because of my disability so fuck it here’s some headcanons on how the church handles disabled/chronically ill members

Papa I is your guy my dude. If you don’t want to take traditional medication he can create some natural alternatives that can work for you. He cares for the health of everyone and has accidentally become the chruch’s doctor in his retirement. He will always stop you in the hallways to check up on you, you can not avoid this Papa, he will find you.

The higher clergy takes disability very seriously and will place you into work that is best for you, need to create a role for you? fuck yes they will. There’s always something to do in the church, even if it’s writing documents for Papa because he’s to hungover to do it himself.

If you can’t due your duty for the day, or you need to tap out early, they are also quite understanding, they can always pull someone else in to finish it if needed, or just wait until you feel better.

One of the practices is that Satan loves all of his worshipers, regardless of ability, race, etc. So if some one is found to be ablest, it is taking very seriously, and in worst cases, could mean expulsion since they are not following the church’s teaching.

If outside treatment is needed, the church is completely understanding and will help, if it means another sibling takes you to appointments, if you need financial assistance with medications, mobility devices, surgeries, etc. you got it, a lot of the church’s money is put right back into the church itself, including for assistance.

Ghouls, in the beginning had no idea what human disability was, and wasn’t sure how to handle it since they look down on weaker/different ghouls, but soon learned from observation that it’s different for humans, and have adapted to helping disabled members of the church, and even ghouls at times.

Ghouls have ended up doing a lot of ingredient hunting for Papa I, (I head canon the church is far out by the woods) they often go and scavenge for ingredients for medicines.

I wrote this with my disability in mind so I don’t think I covered everything,  so feel free to add more.
