Levi's Quirk: Boogie Man

Levi's quirk allows super speed, super strength, enhanced reflexes, and regeneration, as well as a sort of teleportation and transformation.

As has been mentioned before, Levi can gain mortal wounds and still survive them, because his flesh heals impossibly fast. Even head injuries are repaired with little to no consequence. However, healing does take quite a bit of energy, leaving Levi lethargic after the adrenaline rush wears off.

Levi also possesses extreme speed and strength. He can outrun and outman heroes and villains alike, but does not like doing this. He prefers to stay in the background until absolutely necessary, but if pushed, he will not hesitate to fight for another person's safety, rules and law be damned.

Levi's hearing is incredible, and can hear far off targets that would go unnoticed by a regular person. His sense of smell has been compared to a hound's in the past, and it is no understatement. He can sniff out hidden people and objects with ease.

The above two abilities are not as pronounced when Levi is in his regular form.

Now, for the reason Levi is called a Boogie Man. He possesses the ability to teleport by hiding in closets or crawling underneath beds. All his has to do is focus on a place or person, and he will end up inside any closet or under any bed that is closest to where he wants to be. However, if he is desperate, Levi can find a shadowy hiding place and teleport using it. He can only do this when his emotions are unstable, and cannot do it any other time.

As well as his peculiar teleportation, Levi can also morph his body into that of a monster. His horns grow longer, his teeth become fangs, and he sprouts wings from his back. His eyes also become blood red with no iris or pupil. Claws adorn his fingers, and, most peculiar of all, are the seven tentacle-like tongues that appear in his mouth. These tongues have landed him the nickname of "Leviathan".

Another thing to mention is his ability to blend into a crowd. While this is not necessarily part of his quirk, it is very helpful when trying to escape an unsavory situation, and also plays into the "imaginary monster" gimmick. A helpful (albeit unsettling) rhyme describes this skill perfectly: "He's easy to ignore, until he's not anymore".

You asked for it

As a kid, Levi grew up in a nice little house that was surrounded by wisteria trees. He loved running around beneath the flowery branches as his parents watched from inside the house. They would always keep a close eye on him, "so you don't get hurt" they said. Unfortunately, Levi knew that wasn't the whole truth.

Levi's parents were never very loving with their son. They supported him, gave him advice and showed him right from wrong, but everything they did felt... Hollow, so to speak. They did care about their son, yes, but they never really showed it in a way that truly mattered. Not only that, but both parents were very busy people, and left Levi alone a lot of the time.

One day, when Levi was thirteen years old, he returned home from school to find that his parents were gone. This wasn't odd, they left on business trips often enough. He shrugged it off and went about life as usual. It wasn't until about a month later that Levi began wondering why they were gone so long.

Turns out, Levi's parents went off the radar, leaving their son behind. No one knew where they were, or why they left, but when it was revealed that they were gone, everyone knew they weren't coming back.

Levi continued to live in his childhood home, keeping things in order as he always did. He went to school, stayed out of trouble, he did his best to act like nothing had changed.

When Levi was fifteen, he had bore witness to a school on fire, lit up by a destructive villain. He was more than willing to be just another bystander, but something stood out to him.

Because of his enhanced sense of hearing, he could faintly make out someone crying for help.

There wasn't even a moment to think before Levi bolted through the crowed and into the inferno. He sprinted through the burning hallways, gathering every child that was trapped or otherwise unable to escape. He held each child close to him, shielding them from the flames as he raced from room to room.

On the third and top floor, he had found the final child that was trapped. He was about to head for the stairs back down when the ceiling caved in, trapping them on the highest floor. Knowing there wasn't much time left, Levi make a lightning quick decision.

He gathered every child in his arms and sprinted for a window, wrapping his wings around himself as he jumped and crashed through it. Just as he was about to open his wings and glide, an explosion went off behind him, sending him flying. He did his best to regain his balance and land safely, but...

Safe to say, it wasn't a smooth landing.

Levi kept his wings wrapped tight around his body as he bounced and skidded across the ground, coming to sudden stop when his back hit a tree. It knocked the breath out of his lungs, and definitely cracked a few ribs. Thankfully, his regeneration kicked in just as soon as he looked up to see a few heroes running towards him.

Understandably, they began scolding him for being so wreckless, telling him he could have died in that fire if he hadn't been so lucky. To that, Levi only laughed weakly.

"If I'm the lucky one, these kids are goddamn miracles."

Levi slowly unwrapped his wings, revealing the shaken (but unharmed) kids. The heroes were stunned. This random kid ran into a burning building to save kids he didn't even know!

The heroes called over the paramedics, who took the kids to be checked for any injuries. The heroes then asked Levi to talk to them, ask him why he did what he did. They didn't get the chance, because as soon as Levi tried to stand without support, he collapsed, exhausted from the adrenaline crash and trying to heal so quickly.

Now, in the present day, Levi has scars on his back from where the shrapnel had hit him in the explosion. Some pieces of metal are still in his back, as his regeneration makes surgery rather difficult. He doesn't mid the residual pain, however. In fact, he admits that he would willingly go through it again if it meant those kids would be saved.

"Of course I'd do it again. Sure, the scars hurt from time to time, but those kids are growing up safe now. Not only that, I got a cool little brother out of the whole ordeal!"
