I am really stretching the original prompt but uh... this is a scene set in the future of the enemies to lovers fic I'm co-writing so it counts maybe? I'm saying it counts :]!!

coffee is a nervous boy, and his love language is a lot different than other papyrus’. He gives gifts, but not the kind you think of when someone says their love language is gift giving.
You had been dating Papyrus for about a year and a half now, you had been friends a while long before that.
So, you have accumulated many a’ cute gifts from your sweetheart.
Papyrus always left little sticky note doodles hidden for you to find, it was his favorite way to remind you that he was still with you even when he had to leave.
Today was one of those days, a day when Papyrus and Sans had to see the queen and wouldn’t be home for a long while.
A long while being only two days, but to you it felt like forever without your skeletons.
But you weren’t left unentertained, Papyrus had left you yet another trail of sticky note doodles with hints to where the next one was on the back.
You loved when he did that, so for the next hour you had been sent on a scavenger hunt.
The first not was placed where he knew you would go first after they left, to take a shower.
The sticky note left on the shower handles made you laugh; it was a doodle of Papyrus hiding his eyes for your privacy and holding out a sticky note… on a sticky note. You laugh and place the note aside for after your shower.
Once you were out and dressed, you picked the sticky note back up to check out the back… ‘Don’t forget to have lunch <3’
Your smile was back again as you made hate to find the sticky note that was stashed in the kitchen.
Your eyes land on the coffee pot, a bright yellow standing out.
This note had a doodle of Papyrus holding an empty cup of coffee, below it read ‘Sorry, drank it all’ you shake your head flipping the note over to read the next hint ‘Well, maybe a saved your favorite.’
Looking over it confused, your brain gears clink to a stop. You eye the fridge; your favorite was a frozen drink Muffet made from a special tea from the underground. Opening the fridge, you find said favorite drink with another sticky note.
This one had a doodle of you on it, a cartoony Papyrus up in the corner giving you a kiss. You snicker at the extended lips he drew to kiss you from the corner of the page, his real self’s lack of said lips amusing you.
The back read ‘You are my sunshine.’ You blink, sunshine?
You try to think of anything, but the only thing you can think of is the sunning chairs outside by the pool.
Out the back door you go, to find out if the sunchairs are where the next not is stashed, normally Papyrus didn’t leave them outside. Probably because they could blow away or get rained on.
You don’t see the note immediately, but snort at the fact that he used one of his white notebook pages to blend in to the sunchair. You saw a pair of doodled eyes peaking out from behind the rubber bands of the chair.
Pulling the note of the back of the chair, you admire the hidden Papyrus doodle, Its him peaking over the bands of the chair. Flipping it over you read the next hint, finding it wasn’t Papyrus’s handwriting ‘Flower you today’ with a small note you can tell was an annoyed Papyrus scribble ‘Sans wrote that one.’
You blink, Sans never wrote you notes? Strange.
But at least you knew obviously were to go, the flower garden that came with the house. (No it didn’t, Sans totally did the whole garden himself but would never admit it.)
It was when you opened the gate to the garden that you realized you weren’t the only one in the garden,
Gasping sharply, you step back, eyes wide at the suited skeleton knelt in the middle of the garden-
“Papyrus?” Your voice was unsure, but you knew who it was and what he was doing.
Papyrus was knelt not 5 feet away from you, holding out a box,
“Will you marry me?” His question was a spoken softly, as it normally is, but the lack of his normal unsure stutter made your soul do flips.
Your eyes burn, as you nod your head rushing to crush him into a hug, His arms wrap around you as he stands up still holding you close.
It wasn’t until the engagement ring was slipped on your finger could you admire the collar he picked out to wed you with.
It was a beautiful silk lined lace collar, dainty chains adding shimmer, but nothing compared to the soul stone that sat blank it the middle- waiting for you and your soon to be husband to put your own magics in the stone for it to hold for all eternity.
It was beautiful and represented the way papyrus saw and felt about you.
You were excited to hold a traditional Monster wedding so you could proudly wear the collar he made for you.
You appreciated that he wanted to have the human representation too, gushing to you after about how he couldn’t wait to pick out wedding rings with you.
Now you had to figure out what kind of collar would suit Papyrus while expressing all the love you felt for him.
You knew it wouldn’t be difficult at all, you had been imagining the design for a long time now.
You knew you wanted to be with Papyrus for the rest of your life, nothing could ever sway you from that decision.
Not even Sans popping a bottle of champagne from his place recording you two on the other side of the garden, with a huge grin of his own.

You can't believe that you fell for the classic there's only one bed trick.
I had a lot of fun writing this chapter and I’m very happy with it! It was very fun to give Reader a totally different personality than how I’ve been writing them so far!

Happy Papyrus self ship week! I could use the traditional practice so thought I'd try and do this one. I kind of fell out of this one, but you can definitely see that the effort went into Papyrus, as it should. Excited to join this week!
