After fighting with Harry, Parvati really was not looking forward to going to get into another fight. But she needed to talk to Cormac, she needed to make it clear that saying he wanted to see the kids and actually seeing them were too completely different things. Once outside the ministry, she apparated to the house he was living in outside of Paris and knocked on the door, making an attempt to at least calm down from the first argument before starting a new one.
Pav was sitting on the couch nervously next to her husband, her eyes closing as she took a deep breath. To say she was scared about seeing her children was an understatement, she was scared shitless. They would know something was up, she could pretend all she wanted, but she just didn't know how to be herself and act normal around them. She finally stood, ignoring her husband's protests and she tried to find something to busy herself with until they arrived.
After she finished packing the stroller, Parvati smiled and picked up Delilah. "You ready to go, baby girl?" She asked, giggling when she earned a happy nod. She tucked the little girl into the front of the stroller. "Cormac, Jack, Are you two ready to go?" She called out, pushing her sunglass on as she waited. She looked down at Delilah, "And they say women take longer to get ready. Daddy takes longer than I do, Lilah," she cooed, tickling the little girl.
Walking down the hallway with Hermione, she smiled. "So are you excited? Was a boy what you wanted?" She asked curiously as they made their way down from the great hall to collect her children.
Pav sat in her office in the infirmary, bored again. She was always bored, no one ever got hurt. She should've been happy no one was ever there, but she was instead bored. Bored was bad news with everything on her mind. Thankfully Hermione and Noah were coming to see her soon and that would be fun. Especially with the ultrasound. Telling Noah about what was going on would not be.
Parvati nearly jumped when she got the owl saying he'd be there if she came home. She grabbed the children's things and pulled a sleepy Jack and a wide-awake Delilah out of bed, heading directly to the floo and heading into the Gryffindor common room. Walking into the apartment, she dropped the bags at the door and looked around for her husband, hugging him as tightly as she could when she found him, holding Jack and Delilah tight to them, too.
"Are you watching me sleep?" Parvati asked, not opening her eyes yet. She could feel Cormac looking at her. "How Edward Cullen of you," Cracking a smile, she finally opened them and looked over at her husband. "So your mom took the kids? We have the house all to ourselves for once?" She smirked sleepily.
Parvati stood in the kitchen making dinner. She glanced over at the two kids playing on the living room floor, her face forming into a sad smile before turning her attention back to the food she was preparing. Her brain refused to shut off. She couldn't stop thinking about everything that had happened in the past four days. She'd gone from ecstatic to heartbroken in a matter of moments and she didn't know whether this was going to make it better or worse. He'd been through so much and she didn't know if he was going to be happy about this anymore. The door knob turning pulled her attention back to reality. Quickly wiping all traces of tears from her face, she smiled at her husband when he walked in the door.
