HIDE AWAY - OPEN

It had only been a few hours since Elsa had made a run for it, she wasn’t sure as to where to go but soon find herself in her favorite park. It should have been in full bloom and filled with people, children laughing and families enjoying a summer night. Due to the unexpected storm however it seemed cleared. Sitting on a nearby bench Elsa let a few tears slip from her eyes before they came at full capacity, she tried to wipe them away but she couldn’t keep up. Still in her summer clothes Elsa didn’t feel a thing, she was alone again and it was just as it should be. Hearing the sound of crunching snow Elsa jumped up from the bench trying to wipe away the newest tears, “who’s there?” Elsa’s voice was on edge and demanding.

Webs latched to the billboard as he swung under it. He releases, spinning before he catches the side of an incoming building.

"You are relentless. Why chase me?" He said as he turned his head to glance at his pursuer.

My fathers house [ open ]

Anna looked terribly tiny standing behind her papa, && the way her head was down && she held to the edge of her papas shirt made her look smaller still.

It seemed to be a very nerve wrecking goodbye for the small female, && papa had instructed his house guest to be very careful with her — Listen, mio bambino is very fragile, don't make it obvious but do treat her that way. Make sure she keeps her meds on hand, and make sure she doesn't need them. Before he set to leaving. She clung to him for another few seconds while he spoke quietly before she nodded, reluctantly letting go.

Watching her papa leave was always very difficult for her, but this time even more so. He was going to be gone three days, && she was staying home with his house guest. Locking the door behind him && turning to face them felt like such a challenge, && she was almost proud of herself for doing it.

"Papa will be home Monday," She murmured, gaze shying from the others as she rocked on the balls of her feet for a moment. "I...I usually make brownies and smoke a blunt when he leaves, and I watch courage the cowardly dog. Does that sound okay to you?" She had a routine, && to her, it was important. But this was a guest in her fathers house, && she felt more than willing to accommodate them if they didn't want to indulge in her habit.

Revelations || Rose/Open

Rose hugged her books to her chest as she headed to the Great Hall for dinner. She had denied X three times and yet he still had yet to reveal her secret. She was starting to believe that she really was right about him. He had no balls to reveal her secret and she was secretly relieved. It hadn’t taken her long to reach the Great Hall, her hunger more apparent than ever as the smell of the food reached her nose. It smelled amazing and she couldn’t wait to fill herself and finish her favorite book she had been reading. 

Pushing open the Great Hall doors Rose stopped suddenly as something whizzed past her before exploding in the air. There her secret was revealed. He had kept to his promise about revealing it to the entire school. There it was right in front of everybody that she had been raped when she was 14. All color seeped from the girls face and her appetite was quickly lost as her books fell to the ground and she turned on her heels and ran off down the corridors hoping to find a place to hide from any humiliation or gossip about her. A place to hide her tears. A place where she would be safe from everything and everyone.

Toris wasn't prone to hate, but he hated nothing more than the rain.

It was late; a little before curfew, so he could still hear the quiet steps of the stragglers making it to their rooms though he was hesitant to move.

The grounds were dark and grim through the wet, streaking hallway window. If Toris wasn't Toris, he would've snuffed derisively. He wondered why rain made everything seem so sad; it was just water. Just water. Just things getting wet. But it was dark and cold water, with a  relentless tap-tap-tap on the roof and windowpanes kept him from sleep. He sighed and slumped. He should get to bed, really.

He turned only to bump lightly into...someone. He blinked and shook his already sleep addled head. 

"Oh, I'm sorry...I should look to where I'm going,"

(No, he did not flush when he realized he was still in his flannel pajamas, of course not)

Winter. A lovely time for nobles. They could go ice skating, or play in the snow. And when they were done, they could go home, dry off and warm up with cups of tea and pudding. Then they could go to bed with sweet, happy dreams running around their heads.

But not everyone was of the upper classes. The working class couldn't waste time ice-skating or playing in the snow. The rats on the streets couldn't go home. What home was there to go to? The streets and gutters were their homes. They couldn't afford fancy teas or pudding. And when they went to bed, troubled sleeps and noises in the night, changed any dreams to nightmares.

Among those rats was a little girl called Lucy. Winter was far colder than the last, so she couldn't stand up and sell her lilies since her feet were bare. She had to rely on the other urchins stealing enough to let her have some. And they usually couldn't carry that much.

So she sat, curled against the wall, trying to keep the snow off of her. A stray cat had wandered over the her and laid down on her lap, so she used the stray to help keep warm. Lucy glanced up as a person walked by, hoping desperately they weren't going to hurt her. 

"'lo. Lovely weather we're 'aving, huh?"

That Girl Is A Problem [open]

"Hey! Watch the hands," Kate protests, trying to wrestle herself from the grasp of both two police officers and their surprisingly sturdy handcuffs. "These are my living. Arrest me, print me, sure, but leave me with my hands, okay?" They haven't clicked that she's Hawkeye. That's the only pro in this situation. (Even if it is a little insulting. Come on. Bow, purple, sassy remarks? Surely they've noticed.) Tossed into the holding cell, she tries to ignore the curious stares. Twenty two and with a police record. All that matters is that her father isn't the one who bails her out. Putting a couple of dimes into the public callbox - her one, wasted phonecall - she waits for an answer on the other end. "Hey. Don't freak out, but... I'm in jail. Can you make bail?"
