Brittany chuckled softly as arms wrapped tightly around her waist, her arms instinctively wrapped around Santana’s shoulders; pulling her in as she rest her chin upon the smaller woman’s head. “Hey you….” she spoke into dark locks, pulling away just barely and placing a kiss to the woman’s hairline (and removing her ridiculous shades). She resumed the embrace immediately after whilst taking a few steps forward over the threshold and into the house (it was a really nice freakin’ house). She let go of Santana with one arm to push the door shut behind her. She never wanted to let go. “God, I missed you so much.” She spoke through emotion, tears building in her eyes through no control of her own.
She leaned back, her index finger slipping under her girlfriends chin and lifting her head from her chest. “Hi….” she greeted again, this time following up with a soft kiss to even softer lips. (Once, twice, and a third; that lingered.) she pulled away and fixed her watery gaze on brown eyes. “You have no idea how much I missed you…” She could sense something in eyes that usually sparkled. “You okay?” She asked, concern taking over her features as trimmed brows knitted together. She pushed her hood off with one hand, the other moving to caress the small of Santana’s back as she tried to read her. Sure they hadn’t seen one another in a few weeks but she could still read the order woman well.
Santana’s lips were relentless, hips nudging Brittany’s own as she pressed her body up against the door, hands gentle but strong. ‘Don’t leave me again’ she itched to scream, but soothing kisses soon eased the burning bitterness of her thoughts, rendering her weak in the knees and allowing a small smile to slip through her gloomy demeanor. “I missed you too, B,” she answered without hesitation, fisting the sides of Brittany’s jacket in an effort to keep her close. “Too much.” Not wanting to be parted from her for even a second.
“I’m fine.” The words fell quickly–too quickly–and she bit her lip as if to take back her blunder. “I’m fine, it’s nothing,” Santana repeated, eager to reassure, a weak smile attempting to mask bold lies. “I’m just happy you’re home.” Home. The words weren’t all untrue, but certainly were a stretch from the absolute truth. She changed the subject hastily, not wanting to dwell on the reality of the situation. That their reunion was sweet, but one that would be relived over and over again once Brittany left for college. An actuality that Santana wasn’t willing or ready to face. She steered Brittany towards the couch, lips against her shoulder. “How was New York? What did you do? Did you have a good time?” Though they’d spent the majority of Brittany’s absence texting (and even tearing up on skype once or twice) it couldn’t compare to the feeling of speaking face to face with her girlfriend.
Brittany didn’t buy Santana words for one second, her face contorting in confusion at the quick response and change in subject, she didn’t like it _at all_. It was her least favorite thing to see Santana upset, but honestly, she was willing to revisit the subject and seek the truth another time. Right now she just wanted to be with Santana. She wanted to tell her everything about New York, about the friends she had made, the food she’d eaten and the bum that had tried to not so discreetly grab her ass on the subway. She allowed herself to be lead into the sitting area and towards the couch, her eyes taking in the odd contrast of compulsive neatness and slight chaos. She didn’t want to touch anything. She actually took her time sitting down properly on the sofa instead of throwing herself down like she did anywhere else.
She pulled Santana to sit on her lap, long arms wrapping lazily around her waist; she thought about the question momentarily, a reminiscent smile tugging at her lips. “It was amazing.” She breathed. “Juilliard is so beautiful! And the people are so talented, not as talented as me...but ya know.”’she joked, laughing softly. Her hand slipped under Santana’s shirt, fingertips ghosting over the soft warm skin of her hip, dipping into her waistband. “I missed you like crazy though.” Brittany pulled Santana closer, her lips barely grazing her neck. “The food was amazing, my workshops were incredible but I missed doing this.” She kissed just below her ear. “And this…” She nibbled on her earlobe. “And this…” Brittany gripped Santana’s chin in her hands and turned her head, before placing a searing kiss to full lips. The kiss heated up fast. She missed the way Santana tasted, the way her scent surrounded them. The smell of her perfume, her shampoo and conditioner, her laundry detergent. It all intoxicated her. She kissed and nipped at soft lips until her head was in a daze and the throbbing between her legs became unbearable. “New York was great but doesn’t even come close to this.” It was the God honest truth. She knew the day would come when she was off to college and leaving behind the best thing to ever happen to her.
