Take Two | Chris&Will
Chris Broadmoor walked quicker down the halls than he usually did. He still couldn’t believe his own destination but he also couldn’t get the sight of Will’s eyes, flashing with anger in disbelief out of his mind. He couldn’t stop hearing Will’s pained voice and he couldn’t stop thinking about how tortured every move the man made seemed- even if it was Chris who was the one facing physical strain.
It wasn’t so much a need to ease his own conscience that brought Chris to Will’s office, rather a remnant feeling from over a decade ago. Chris had always cared for all people dearly but this one person had a place with him, within his history that he could never shake. It was late but coming into the doorway of Will’s office, Chris knew his once friend would be there. He knew Will worked too hard, too late and too often to get out of his own thoughts. They weren’t the closest of friends any more but Chris was observant and that paired with the way he felt like he never quite stopped knowing how to read Will, made him sure he would find the man without fail. Chris only knocked on the door slightly before inviting himself in, though he remained at the door frame, leaning nonchalantly as ever.
“I was thinking...” he inhaled deeply as he took in the sight of the man inside. Chris wore a slight smile, a call for peace, a familiar sight even to soften Will up. “Maybe if I came to you this time, things might be a little more civil…”
