At the Delta house, Teddy had made sure that he looked as sharp as he could be - even at church, a Delta Omega Chi member had to look the best that they could, so he wore an off-white button up with light blue pin-striping and a pair of dark jeans - and after making sure that everything looked right and he didn’t have his clothes on backwards, he headed out of the home and drove the distance to the nearby church. It was large, the crowd one that someone could easily get lost in, but as the congregation rose to their feet to sing their hymns, he glanced around, looking for Ryder - just in case he wanted to cancel.
He wouldn’t have blamed him - they had talked about doing this for awhile and only now just got the chance to make it happen - but when his eyes found his, he gave him a nod in greeting. The rest of the service went on as planned, and Teddy walked out of the church and leaned against the brick wall near the double doors, pulling out his phone. Texting Ryder, he made sure that the fellow Longhorn knew that he was waiting for him, and he slid his phone back into his pocket as he waited.
Ever since the concert Camila couldn’t help but keep on thinking about what Lauren possibly used as a pick me up. Did she actually do drugs? Or was she just over thinking the whole thing. It really was bothering the girl during the day as she laid in bed and tried to focus on whatever movie she decided to pop in. Maybe she could talk to Lauren and see if she would actually tell her the truth and if she didn’t then she wouldn’t force it out of her. Camila got up as she pulled out her phone.
Hey Lauren, I was wondering if maybe you and I can meet up. Maybe get a cup of coffee or something. - Camila
Once she sent the text she took in a deep breath as she decided to take a quick shower as she waited for Lauren to get back to her. She was hoping the girl would agree as she did miss hanging out with her even though it wasn’t that long ago since she last saw the girl.
NOTES: After a drunken hook up over the weekend, Finn and Brittany have been avoiding each other for a while. They break the silence over dinner.
Brittany had been glancing out the window repeatedly. Her heart had been beating faster than usual because of how nervous she was. She kept shaking her head at herself, blaming herself since she did usually initiate things dunk or not. She took a deep breath and smile a little as he spoke. "Oh no it's fine, you didn't really take long. Um, I ordered a couple wings for us if that's okay."
Finn nodded as she spoke and gave her a small smile. "Yeah, that's okay." He said, knowing that they had to talk about what happened. Usually, he never sleeps with one of his best friends and avoided them afterwards. He lightly tapped a bit on the table, and scratched the back of his neck. "How's it going?"
Brittany could feel that it was very different from before. She gulped and nodded with a small smile. "Its okay..how about for you?" She asked. She wondered if things would get so bad that she'd have to find a new place but hopefully not. She was already in a bad enough funk. She looked over as the waiter brought their food and thanked him.
Finn looked over and thanked him for their food. "It's going..okay." He said, with a small smile and handed her plate. He swallowed thickly, before he took a deep breath and cleared his throat some. He wasn't for sure where to start, or even what to say.
Brittany thanked Finn as she got her plate and took a deep breath as she looked at them with her fork. "I'm sorry." She breathed out as she gulped. "F-For doing, I guess being the one to initiate it all. I'm always the one who starts stuff and I'm sorry."
Finn listened to her, and gulped some. "Im sorry too, I mean. I did kiss you back, and helped you initiate." He said, swallowed some more and licked his lips some.
Brittany gulped as she shrugged a bit. "It's not, " She said and just took a deep breath. "I get if you want me to back off or even move out, I can if you want me to."
Finn shook his head as she spoke about moving out or backed off. "I, uh." He started to say, before licking his lips some. "I dont want you to move out, nor back off."
Brittany leaned on her elbow as she rested her head on her hand. She wasn't sure what else to do but apologize.
Finn "Unless, you do want to move out and back off?" Finn asked, curiously and was kind of confused at this situation.
Brittany furrowed her brow a bit. "Finn..it's your place." She said and gulped.
Finn nodded as she spoke. "And I said, I dont want you to move out, or back off." He said, looking at her.
Brittany nodded as she looked up at him. "Alright." she said quietly and moved the wings on her plate around.
Finn gulped thickly, bit down on his lower lip and looked at her. "What's wrong, B?" He asked softly, hoping that the blonde's mood will pick up some. He hated when she was down in the dumps.
Brittany traced a small circle on the table as she shrugged a little. "I kinda screwed all this up already and you were my best friend so." She added and kept her eyes down.
Finn shook his head as he gotten up and sat down next to her. "Were? B, Im still your best friend and you didn't screw anything up. Yeah, we didnt talk for a few days, and avoided each other, doesn't mean you screwed up."
Brittany looked over at him as she bit her bottom lip and scoot over for him. She felt better as she laid her head on his shoulder and raised her eyebrows. "Really?" She asked softly.
Finn wrapped his arm around her, and rubbed her shoulder to comfort her. "Really," He replied in the same soft tone, and pecked her head without thinking.
Brittany nodded as she gave a soft smile and relaxed. "So we can still like, run around the apartment chasing each other for the remote?"
Finn smiled softly and nodded as he listened to her. "Yes, we can still run around the apartment chasing each other for the remote. I wouldnt want it any other way."
Brittany giggled softly as she nodded and smiled. "Awesome," She said and lifted her head, glancing down at his lips as she realized how close they were. She took in a quiet breath and smiled at him.
Finn chuckled softly and nodded with a smile. "Yeah." He said, moving his head a bit and glanced down at her lips before he looked down at her eyes, realizing how close they were. He swallowed quietly and smiled at her. "So, how about we finish eating and go back to the apartment?"
Brittany nodded as she smiled at him and nodded. "Yeah, that sounds fine." She said and happily went back to eating.
Finn smiled and nodded as he grabbed his plate. "Alright, awesome." He said, took a bite of the wings and reached for the napkins. He gave her some, before he placed the rest between them.
Brittany nodded as she smiled at him and gladly ate her food with him.
Alexa just came back home from her morning routine - a cup of cappuccino in a small coffee shop nearby, reading The Morning Star and still keeping T. S. Eliot's book in her bag, just in case she was in a mood for some light "coffee shop reading" as she liked to call times like these. The girl kicked off her heels away and dropped her bag on the hanger, taking off her phone, and put on her warm slippers right before she heard a doorbell ringing. It took her by surprise, the thing she saw at her door. A mailman with a bouquet of pastel pink roses. She thanked the man, closed the door and was in even bigger awe as she read the little anonymous note.
"Brighton Pier. Sunset. Come alone."
"Creepy much?" she asked her pug when she brought the bouquet to the kitchen and slumped in the chair, re-reading the note over and over again. It was something strange. Something that was lingering at the back of her mind, but she simply couldn't put her finger on it. "Brighton Pier... Brighton Pier--" she was muttering the name over and over in her mind, with a bite of her lip. Should she call Alex and ask what he thinks about it? And after all, she decided not to call her ex boyfriend and simply go with it. What was the worst that could happen?
And there she was, getting out of metro with a knee long beige dress, white knee socks and black classic black heels, keeping herself warm with mink fur coat. As soon as she reached the destination, she remembered the place. Of course. How could she even forget? Alexa decided to walk down the bridge to the very end, she always used to do that ever since she was a little girl, and leaned her arms on the railing, watching the waves raising and crashing, closing her eyes and enjoying the breeze. Though her mind was still wondering one single thing-- could it be Alex?
Sam was sitting in his- thankfully empty- hotel room, bouncing his foot up and down. He'd tried to distract himself by playing some computer games or watching TV or something but it hadn't worked. Ever since Mercedes had told him what she'd bought he couldn't take his mind off of it. He shifted a bit, resisting the urge to jerk himself off right then, but he did want to wait for Mercedes to get there. But he'd been serious earlier. If Mercedes didn't hurry up he would have to take matters into his own hands.
Caden was going swimming with Izzy in the pool today. He didn't know the girl that much but that's only 'cause they weren't so close. Caden planned on being close with Izzy, actually he planned on being close with everyone in the Exchange Program. He loved the feeling of being liked by everyone, maybe it was because back at home he was the popular guy. But now that he's here, he wasn't that so popular which Caden didn't mind at all.
He finally removed his blanket off of himself, letting the cold air meet his legs. He got up out of bed and walked towards his dresser which was placed next to the TV. Opening the third drawer of the dresser, there laid all his folded swimming trunks. He grabbed the first one he saw and changed into them. He walked to the bathroom, opened the bathroom closet, grabbed a towel and threw it over his shoulder. Before walking out, he took a look at himself through the bathroom mirror. He could see all fourteen tattoos on his upper body, including the ones on his back. The rest were on his ankles and legs.
Once that was done he made his way to the other side of the house where the pool was located. Sliding the glass screen door to the side, he walked outside and set his belongings on a beach chair. On the other side of the pool there were swimming tubes, noodles, goggles and other swimming materials. He walked to the other side and grabbed a swimming tube. Setting the tube on the water slowly, Caden took a step back and jumped onto the tube, without falling into the water. He leaned his head back, letting the tips of his curls get wet. He used his arms as paddles and paddled his way to the 4 1/2 ft, he then began to relax there as he waited for Izzy to arrive.
The school week was finally over and the both of them had managed to avoid any trouble on Friday which was a relief for them both. Apart from classes they hadn't really left each others side and glee club was actually enjoyable for once with them both there. And now it was the weekend and they'd planned a day out shopping. Nothing really fit Blaine well anymore, most of his clothes becoming baggy and besides, he knew that for Kurt shopping always cheered him up and he desperately wanted to see that smile after the week they'd had.
Blaine woke up early that day, feeling refreshingly healthy and grinned to himself as he got ready. He wanted to talk to Burt at some point as well, thank him for everything and also ask if he could stay in the spare room that week as he underwent his second chemo session. Things would just be all the more easier if he could only talk to Kurt whenever he wanted and he knew it would help ease some of the worrying from his boyfriend as well. And soon enough he was sitting in the lounge talking to Burt, and smiling gratefully when he agreed to the proposition, thanking him once more before disappearing up to Kurt's room.
Knocking a few times, he peeked his head in the room, knowing that his boyfriend was probably just putting the finishing touches on his outfit after Burt had made him disappear back up to his room as they talked. "You ready?"
