A Big Thank You - Cecile Hernandez-Cervellon
It’s two weeks ago already that the IPC Snowboard Europa Cup Finals and World Cup were held in the fabulous ski resorts of Les Angles and Formigueres. These family resorts, nestled in the Pyrenees Occidental high above Perpignan played host to, in my opinion, probably the best para-snowboarding competition I have covered to date. Near perfect weather and fantastic snow conditions complimented two great courses; boarder-cross in Les Angles and banked slalom in Formigueres.
And it’s all thanks, largely to Cecile Hernandez-Cervellon who trains at these resorts and is a patron of Les Angles and Formigueres. With Christian Femy and an army of volunteers, technicians, and IPC Snowboard personel and the full support and help of both ski resorts they put on a great week of snowsports. I just wanted to say a bit thank you, in particular to Cecile and Christian for inviting me to photograph the competition, and to thank, also, everyone for making it the resounding success that it was.
