Paramay 2020 Day 1

“Okay so,” Elijah started as he grabbed most of his vinyl's and headed back to the front of the store where Valerie was at. It was a slow day at the shop, to the point where the store was dead quiet, except for the sound of Luna’s footsteps once in a while as she played with her toys in the backroom. “I grabbed most of my collection that I had in the back, but unfortunately, the rest of my collection is at the house and in boxes.” He placed the stack onto the counter once he was behind it and adjusted his glasses a bit. “Go ahead and dig in and see if there’s an artist that strikes your fancy and I’ll put it on the record player.”

Recovery - Lux, Eddie & Val

Despite everything that had happened Lux was in a somewhat good mood. Her heart still ached for her friends and for the child six feet under but she was happy. Quidditch practice had gone well, the sandwich she had secured for herself at breakfast was still fresh and tasted amazing, and she a possibly-not-sure-if-it’s-a-date with Chet that afternoon. Taking another bite of her sandwich the girl turned a corner not expecting an overgrown male body to be in her path. Crashing into the boy Lux quickly stammered an apology, eyes widening in fear as he turned around. 

“Stupid bitch! Look what you’ve done to me!” His voice was a snarl as he stared at the spot on his jacket. The small girl took a step backwards, her eyes still wide whilst she tried to explain herself. 

The first hit moved too quickly for her to see it but as the boy backhanded her Lux dropped her bag, feeling the bubble of anxiety burst within her chest. Slurs were thrown at her before a punch landed on her right cheekbone, knocking her backwards into an alcove next to a statue of a knight. Backing into a corner Lux felt the tears drip onto her knees as she watched the boy and his friends walk away. As her body started to shake and tremble Lux tried to control the anxiety attack that was coming but knew she couldn’t. Rather she just hoped that no one saw her.

I Missed You || Lux & Val

The pain hadn't stopped since she'd hit the floor and the longer the train ride had gone the more it hurt. One arm was wrapped around her side whilst the other hung limply onto the seat, she'd already tried moving her left arm but it had only caused more pain. Glancing at her reflection in the window Lux felt slightly accomplished that the bruise on her cheek was entirely concealed, something she had become very good at. 

As the Hogwarts Express pulled to a stop she stood up, straightening she adjusted her glasses and flipped up the hood on her coat, slipping her backpack onto her good shoulder. She joined the mass of students stepping off of the train onto the icy platform. She didn't expect anything to be different, however her gaze caught the sight of a single blonde who brought a tired smile to her face. 

"Hey Val, happy new year."

Help

Lux lifted her head as Val walked into her room, a smile spreading over her face. "Hey, thank you for doing this. You would really think I'd get better at this after being here for six years." Lux laughed as she met Val's gaze before looking down at her bag. "Okay, shirts, jeans, jackets- Owl food. I need owl food."
