“Whoever you’re looking for they’re not here. Go the fuck away.”
“…Are you fucking kidding me? I offered the same goddamn thing, Lux! Wow.” Val laughed, climbing out of the water. “Just wow. You thought I wouldn’t be mad? I lost a child, Lux! Your own Godson, as a matter of fact! You don’t want to spend time with me but you’ll stay with Charlotte? No. Just no..”
The curse was a slap to Lux’s face, the girl instantly shrinking away from Val before she started to tremble in the water, her breathing staggered as she watched Val with wide eyes. “I. I. I.”
“You’re clearly not playing football correctly then,” Kiarah found a gentle laugh bubbling to her lips as she watched the petite girl brush a shade of pink across her cheeks. “And you’re good, full stop. You could be a forty stone and still fly better than most.”
“Quidditch is still more fun.” Lux smiled before she shrugged and stood up, fiddling with her own older broom. “Thanks. You’re amazing as well. When you’re not aiming for the ground.”
Val glanced up. “Excuse me?”
“Um. Charlotte. She offered for me to stay with her for the holidays. To help her get over her Dad and everything.”
I think the elves put a lock on the cupboards though, or else we’d all be too fat to move.
True, though I’ve seen a lot of people just bring in food from Hogsmeade.
I think that’s every dorm.
True. It’s just that Hufflepuff is closest to the kitchen, we tend to go a little nuts with the food.
I dunno, nobody ever talks to another. Except Clarice, she’s cool.
The Hufflepuff dorms are just crazy. There’s always food and conversations happening.
“I thought I should start mixing things up a bit,” Kiarah just watched the petite girl as the words left her mouth. Watched the bandage wrap once, twice, three times over. Pulled her hand back as Lux offered it, and moved it around slightly in it’s new cocoon. “About as the brilliant as the other, I mean have you seen her on field? Because I don’t.”
“Quidditch is meant to be played in the air. Football is played on the ground and its more boring.” Lux smiled as she finished the bandage before she settled on the ground, nudging her glasses up her nose. At the compliment Lux’s cheeks flushed red before she ducked her head and shrugged. “I’m light. It’s a natural advantage.”
My room is sort of like a reality show. There’s this weird awkward vibe going on and I have no idea what’s going on.
How so?
“I guess..” Val sighed and pulled her shirt off before slipping into the water with her. “So the year’s coming to a close pretty soon.. Are you ready to go back yet?”
“No. But I might have an escape.” Lux explained as she drifted softly through the water, smiling at Val from behind her sunglasses, not that she could really see Val. “You are not allowed to get angry though.”
Pretty sure that thing is mutated.
“He’s not mutated, he’s just little. It’s his breed. They’re meant to be little to fly short distances.”
“Please? I just want to know if my Dad is in danger.”
“Where does your father live?”
“Blackpool.”
Kiarah found a bit more mumbling in the form of a protest to the girl wrapping her arm, yet she didn’t make much of an effort in terms of actually taking her arm from the small girl’s grip. “I can still play, it’s just a graze.” There was a roll to her eyes as she watched Lux wrap the bandage around, “But you’re right, you do need me.”
“It won’t be just a graze if you keep aiming for the ground like that.” Frownign slightly Lux took her bottom lip in between her teeth in concentration as she continued to bandage the girl’s arm. Once she was finished she released it and moved to sit on the ground. “We do need you, you’re a brilliant chaser.”
[OWL] Lux - Thanks so much for taking care of Buddy for me. You have no idea how much I missed him. Would it be too much to ask you to take him for just a week or so more, until I'm out of the hospital wing? Triton, too, if it's not too much trouble (my turtle, he's in Greenhouse 2)? I can't say thank you enough - Davey
[OWL] Davey - Of course, he misses you so if you ever want me to bring him back to say hi just send me a message. I discovered he enjoys going for walks along the lake and annoying the fish. I hope you get better soon
- Lux
Kiarah just smiled up to her team mate, as she began dusting the dirk from her own back. “They’re like war scars, make me look mean and tough.” Her eyebrows shot up with the words she spoke, exaggerating each adjective. “I just got a bit too close to the ground was all.”
“Well they can be war scars after. You’re bleeding at the moment.” Frowning slightly the small girl reached into her bag and produced a bandage. Moving softly she took Kiarah’s arm and before the girl could protest, she started to bandage her wounds. “If you’re wounded you can’t play. We need you on the team, the reverse squad sucks.”
Kiarah was busy muttering under her breath as she listed herself from the ground, her eyes focused on the dark liquid that began to well through grazes across her arms. But that wasn’t enough to stop her, merely a scratch, the words she recited through her mind. What was stopping her though, the dark haired girl was completely unaware of where her broom ended up. “Have you seen a broom, about yay big. Tattered. On the ground?”
Lux had been walking towards the Quidditch pitch with her own broom when she spotted her teammate lying on the ground, blood starting to appear on her arm. Without thinking Lux raced towards the girl dropping to her knees next to her. “Kiarah. What are you- It’s over there. You’ve hurt yourself.”
How come?
My roommate was up all night doing an essay, the light kept me up.
