Day 2 we go to Google main campus spend some time in the company store and I put my Ukrainian Village on the map! That first photo is for you @romaniv513. Then I had to get back to the city for a very important date at a baseball game with the brilliant @smatbrat and to get there I couldn’t have had a more Silicon Valley moment. My ride back to the city was in a Tesla. @lana.honcharuk is taking me on a great detour back to The US for a brief time during my Peace Corps service. She won a Google Coding Challenge and invited me to be her traveling companion. I couldn’t be more honored than to share some experiences of the US with her. This super smart girl who codes is going somewhere and I hope I’m able to share some super cool opportunities with her. But because of her she is sharing cool opportunities with me, a photo of us from the rooftop patio at Google San Francisco, just a perfect backdrop of the Bay Bridge begins is there. The second two photos are of her group of youth who were also coding Champions, I am fortunate enough to know a very generous person who happens to work at Facebook and was able to set this group up with a tour of campus. Remember these brilliant girls. They won a national competition here in Ukraine in which they won $1,000 USD to help start their business. They will use that to get started but will still need more start up funds. They entered another contest and have been selected as finalists. There is public voting for this stage. Can you please help them out by going to the link in my bio watch their 4 minute pitch video and then vote by following the link. Their business idea is realistic and will help thousands of people with mobility issues connect to others in their community willing to help. They aren’t stopping there. Of the proceeds a percentage will be returned to local communities to pay for the building of ramps on sidewalks. These young people are the future of Ukraine and the world!
