Vegan and zero-waste Shabbat candles from @goodlightcandles. Most candles are made from petroleum-based paraffin wax, which emit harmful fumes and require fossil fuels. These candles are made from palm wax, which I don’t love due to our rapidly dying rainforests and danger to Orangutans, but the company gives portions of its sale to the @OrangutanLandTrust and they pay farmers certified by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm oil to support solutions to protecting our rainforests and endangered wildlife.
