The bright colors that filled the streets were something that made Sami feel as far from home as possible. He had traveled the world in his almost a hundred years of life but no place quite matched where he stood now. The vibrant yellows, rich reds and golds seemed to have oozed into the very soil of this place. Even the people seemed to have color in the tone of their voices and spring in their steps. He did not fit in here. Everyone nearby could be certain of that.
But he was hungry and had come here to sample new flavors of the human experience. He scanned the crowded streets for someone who looked well suited for his plans. A little loose, the desperate type, male or female didn’t matter. He’d have bothe before he left this place.
A pair of brown eyes flagged him, and his head snapped back towards them. She was beautiful young. Too poised for his normal taste but he couldn’t tear his gaze away. Sighing, he pushed past the people standing near him and tried to close the distance between himself and whoever she was.
