I love the Brand New Eyes intro, its got to be one of the greatest Paramore lyrics, up there with Let the Flames Begin , I am seriously to get a tattoo with "There's Evil in your Heart, and Its Wants Out To Play"

Okay, I have to address the meaning of the Paramore intro

I've seen a few interpretations of this song having something to do with a Satanic cult thing, and some other bullshit, sooo I just wanted to give what I'm pretty sure this song means, and if it's not well then what it means to me. It's talking about how when you're a kid it's so important to your parents that they create a world where anything is possible- Where princes can come and sweep you off your feet in a golden chariot at any moment, even when you can't find him or his castle, and where love will always concur over evil. Yet we get older and they take that away from us. Suddenly you can't achieve your dreams because they're unrealistic, and as you grow physically and mentally you realize that you're gonna have to fight for these dreams. Everyone around you can see that everything you're expecting is unrealistic, but you're still convinced it's possible. You're trying to act as if you're still so happy and getting closer to your goals, but they can see that you're using a facade of happiness and hopefulness. However, as you get further and further from reaching your dream, you grow bitter because you feel betrayed. That's when you start treat others how your parents treated you- telling kids that they're being unrealistic. At the end, I think Hayley's breaking out of the third person perspective and referencing to herself, saying that she's never given up on achieving her most unrealistic goals. In the final line it's as if she's saying that the person with their feet on the ground trying to get her head out of the clouds is the one living in a fantasy.

Yeah, so take it how you will. I just love this intro so much and wanted to put my two cents in.
